Morning...
Been up for a couple hours drinking coffee, surfing the internet and watching motortrend stuff on the streamer.
It's been drizzle raining since I got up but it's suppose to stop around 9 or 10.
Another day with no set plans but that never lasts... yesterday turned into an all out grocery shopping day. That usually happens on payday but we had the money in the bank to get it done early and Betty Lou was bored so we decided to get it knocked out.
Maybe I'll be able to post something in the "What airgun related did you do today" thread later.

Good Morning!  I got up at 4:38 this morning. Now I am sipping on my coffee.
 Todays weather is going to be mostly sunny with a high in the upper 70's°F.

It is currently 39°F our forecast overnight low was supposed to be 47°F so they missed that by a bit! We are now forecast to have a 50% chance of rain tonight and tomorrow and a high of 59°F tomorrow. The following 4 days to have highs in the upper 60's°F. The overnight lows are forecast to be mid to upper 30's for the next 5 days.
 The the 10 day shows our high temps will reach back into the 70's°F for the 20th-23rd with overnight lows in the mid to upper 40's.

 I plan on getting outside today, I may do some yardwork or just mess around with the secret squirrel?

Mornin y'all!  Belle and I were out at the squirrel spot at 0700.  The squirrels are starting to appear again and we chased a couple around for thirty minutes or so.  The leaves are still too thick and the squirrels are too wary so I never got a clean shot.  Still great fun.

Last day of The Big Vacation!  Number one daughter has to go to the dentist so we're all going to town today (Whee).

At least I'll be meeting my friend Holmes for lunch at a decent Greek place and hopefully I'll get to go to Bass Pro and window shop or Academy Sports look for scope rings.

I got a solar-electric guy coming to look at my roof and talk about installation.   I hope he's knowledgeable and not just a knucklehead salesman.  Not sure it's worth it at my age.

Yep, pleasing everyone is impossible but p***ing off everyone is a piece of cake.🤣😂

We're trying to FINALLY get a vet to put our German shepherd down. Our go to hasn't returned our phone calls to get an appointment and our GS has really gone down hill. She got me up twice last night to clean up poop which I have no problem doing but she's pretty much stopped eating and needs help standing up. It's time 😭.

I'm sure you know about my recent loss with Rambo so I know the feeling all too well.

Putting a dog down is a painful decision but knowing that you gave the dog the best possible life at least makes me feel a little better about it.   Years of companionship is the reward, the painful decision at the end is the price.  I'm sorry to hear that it's getting towards that time with your pup.

Thanks guys. We're just amazed she lasted this long. She's a EPI dog so she's had to have grain free fat free kibble and a enzyme powder mixed in to keep her alive. She was originally found wandering the desert so hi desert GS rescue took care of her and adopted her out to a couple with children. Well a few years later they lost their home and was going to live with inlaws or... and they couldn't keep the dog. HDGS rescue rescue her from the shelter and that's when we got involved. We fostered her and the other GS that they couldn't keep but when our girl got to the house she was so skinny.😢. Well we decided we were going to adopt her almost immediately because we found out she was a EPI dog and the other people would not be able to care for her. That was 9 years ago. Here's the enzyme we have to give her with each meal.

I know it is rough too, having lost one dog early this year and knowing Hank our Great Dane is 11 years 3 months old now. I Hope he goes quickly and doesn't decline to when it is his time and I am grateful that he still acts like a puppy most of the time. He is starting to lay around sleeping a little more but he is the only dog now so that would be expected anyway. He is still very playful and he is a very good "watch" dog still, barking any time that someone drives or walks onto the property. He hears and knows my wife's Honda CRV or one of my trucks when we are a half mile away. I am not sure how he can tell them from all the other vehicles that go by, but he can.

I’ve been predicting Flytrap’s demise for two years.  She’s a huge mongrel.  84 lbs. and 16 years old.  She’s still getting up and taking herself outside but it’s getting harder for her each day.  She seems to be enjoying life so I leave her alone. She still loves to ride on the UTV though she has to sit in the foot well now.  She loves to lie in the garden in the sunshine while the memsahib potters with plants.  Someday she won’t be able to get up and we’ll have to face it. The cat is seventeen and has recently gone blind. Probably be looking for a new cat soon.  Even Flash is slowing down.  Well he is eleven.  Belle is nineteen months old and a ball of Fire!  I keep thinking that at my age she might be my last dog.  If she is I picked a good One!
