Poison ivy is the only plant around my place that I hate so much I'm will to spray chemicals on it.

 We have it everywhere at the farm I work on, last week I slipped and fell in it, it defiantly does not affect me, yet. I do dose it in areas the public frequents, 1 part crop oil 1 part 40% Roundup or the like. Apply wearing gloves and a sponge to avoid killing everything else. Also works to kill off stumps.

Boss and Rambo will chew on grass and weeds from time to time as most dogs will. The taller weeds on the fence line are easier for them to get to. All this property was farmed years ago so it's quite fertile. The area that the fence line runs through was used for growing beans just a few years ago.

That's the incision line that's been glued back together. There was a lot of skin cut out to make sure there's a clean edge free from melanoma. Has anybody on here ever had to have a IV in their ankle? Because the doctor was going to be cutting in both arm pits they couldn't do the IV in the normal places. It took them 4 different places to get it working starting on the top of both feet. OWW!!
I've got to tell you Kris, I would never let a phlebotomist do that to me!😂🤣😂🤣.

My phlebotomist was not happy with me the other day, she had to draw from the backside of my hand with a pediatric needle. The needle ninjas at the blood donation place had a rough day with the plumbing in the arms last week and she was not about to stick that spot. As for in the ankle no but the back side of my hand has been used a few times.

Good morning. I went to bed too late last night/early morning, I only slept about 4 hours, but I feel pretty rested.

 Our forecast for the next 7 days is below 100°F    99°F for today and most but that still counts.  Our humidity will be about double what it has been but still only <30% at the peak temp each day.

 I just read mostly yesterday and today I think I'll dust my book shelves and office real good since I didn't do it yet.

I've had an IV in the back of my hand twice. First time for the Camara tour of my back side and the second was to inject the glow juice for the pet scan. The first one didn't hurt at all but that second one!!!!!

Picked the 360z zturn up from Mike the mower guy this evening. I think I'll mow the barn property with it tomorrow to give it a good try out. I did mow our yard with it when I got it home but that only takes about 10 minutes. Not really enough for a good assessment.

What did he have to fix to get it driving again?

After I unloaded the Z turn I loaded my chainsaw onto my ATV and drove down my 600' drive and cut that trunk at shoulder lever and it fell to the ground.

Is the road traffic loud there? I wish my house was that far from the road. I have around a 200ft driveway and it ain't quiet. 

The vinegar mixture works well but the weeds will grow back in short order. The bleach mixture is more permanent because it neutralizes the soil so stuff can't grow.

How long before weeds grow back after using bleach? Half a year?

Decided to sleep in some and stay cozy with Mrs. P this morning.  Outta bed around 0815. 

Sipping cappuccino in the sun currently.

Plan is to head to Pops for some pool playing, then off to work.  As far as I know, I’ll only be working 16 hours tomorrow.  That could have changed by the time I show up this afternoon?  One never knows if it will turn into a 32 hours shift instead.  I’m 99% sure that it hasn’t changed though.  Our group is pretty good at communicating shifts that need to get filled. 

The report says a high of 81 in Seattle so it will be a glorious day to be out cruising the city keeping the people in power.  😎

High of 86 today for my peeps at home.  I’m sure they will be splashing in the pool some trough the day .  Mrs. P and the three youngest boys (16, 14, 11) will head to her mom’s (85 yo) this afternoon and help her with some things around the house and visit for a bit.

I had the arm for the tension pulley out of place and when I tightened the bolt for the pulley and PTO I trapped the arm and it couldn't function properly. I also had the drive pulley on upside down. It is an offset pulley and is supposed to only go one way.
I could have probably figured it out and fixed it myself but my body had about given up on me and frustration set in so I took it to Mike.
As for the weed juice.. this is the first time I've used it so I'm not sure of the results... yet.  But as I said.. once I've killed the weeds I'll lay down a layer of pine needles along the bottom of the fence (referred to as pine straw around here). That will prevent anything from growing. Pine straw is gathered and sold around here and used for landscaping.

 Sorry I made a mistake, my yard from the road to where I stop cutting in the back is 600 feet. My driveway is 406' from road to my house.

Good morning guys and gals. Up at 0450,  Hopefully I'll get 1/2 or more of my yard cut this morning before 10 hundred and finish tomorrow morning.

I was actually able to finish my yard. Started at 6:05 finished at 10:15 with one water/bathroom break. I was in the direct sun for approximately 30 minutes. I stayed in the shade or cut when it was cloudy most of the time. I cut that part that has no shade first.

Tomorrow early I'll do the string trimming.

I am allergic to darn near everything that grows on god's green earth.  But not Poison Ivey, Poison Sumac, or Poison Oak.   Go figure.

I AM allergic to Chocolate (gives me Hives) Sea Oats (makes me blind) and Cane Toad venom (causes convulsions).   

I had to work for the memsahib this morning but I'm free this afternoon!  The temps aren't unbearable out there and I hope to do some plinking.  I may take the pups for another amble around the fish ponds.  This kind of weather usually brings the Moccasins out and I'm hoping to kill a few.  I'll probably carry the XS60C.  It's perfect weather for CO2.

The nice thing about the burner is it kills any seeds that are on the ground also. I find that's important with the tumble weeds.

Bill you likely would've caught that later on and fixed it but I know from personal experience when you're in pain it's mighty hard to think straight and problem solve where bad decisions are made then corrections need to happen the next day when you're starting out fresh. I've done that with the pulleys when I was hurting also.

Got a lot mowed on the rough yard so I'm beat.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! I slept in until 0600. I’m having coffee and I’m on call this weekend. I’m hoping to be free of any calls until I get some sheet rock repair done today. I have 2 places where I fell through the ceiling (years ago). I had just folded the sheet rock closed and screwed it where I could. It’s way past time to cut it out and replace the sheet rock and spackle it closed. If I can get that done today, I’ll be glad. Otherwise, it’s going to be hot, I’m on call and not sure there’s anything else I should do. I suppose, I’ll get another coffee and enjoy the quiet morning.
