Still picking up the pieces from last week. Been icky all weekend and dealing with body wide flares. I probably picked up somebody's bug somewhere, either the dentist office or dermatologist office. Today the flares have let up but still a little sluggish. Staying in the house most of the day because of the heat. Early morning and late afternoon is when I venture out to take care of the yard and animals.

I hope you continue to feel better and soon.

It was on the warm side today...for Minnesota that is..... 88 F @ 70% humidity.
At midday, I used a push mower to cut my daughters yard and the yard of her next door neighbor who has health issues.
After 2 1/2 hours of grass cutting in the sun,  I had worked up a real good sweat.
I jumped in the shower as soon as I got home too.

Thanks guys, I did manage to cut the grass and get the chickens up to speed. The heat has taken a toll on some of them, not is all lost I have a bumper crop of replacements this year. They are kept inside until it cools down some. I go through this every few years, the older ones are first to fall by the extreme heat. Just one of the joys of owning chickens.

I did the final waxing and polishing on the gifted Daisy using Renaissance Wax / Polish.
I would post some more pics, but the camera just doesn't really show the depth or shine.


This is some really good stuff. It takes only a small amount too.

The wildlife around here are showing us just how hot it is. We have 3 birdbaths now. I saw a squirrel this morning filling up on water in the backyard. Yesterday, I came home to 3 birds cooling off in the front yard. I hope (and your chickens) get to feeling better.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 0530, my wife has been keeping me up until 2200 watching a Viking series. It makes her happy and my internal clock tells me when to get up. Work was real hard yesterday. We’ve got even hotter days coming, but we might cool a little bit with a chance of rain Wednesday and Sunday mornings. I sure hope the rain really comes. Often, the chances fizzle out when the day comes. Well, I’d better grab my second cup o’Joe and get ready for work.

Good morning GTA! Yep it's Tuesday! I got up at 0340, I think my internal clock is off. 

It was miserable yesterday, so dang hot. We’ve got even hotter days coming, today's heat index will reach 107°. Too hot to shoot. Tinkering inside will be my plan.

I will be trying to put Eve back together after replacing the damaged frame and O-ring / valve replacement.

I have heard somewhere that the 853 is one of the hardest rifles to reassemble, especially
the action / trigger parts (?)

Mornin y’all!  It’s hotter than Texas out there!  For weeks it has been dry as a bone here. The heat was bearable and I got a lot of pencilling and inking done on my art projects.  I’ve been planning to break out an airbrush and work on some paintings.  So of course the humidity spikes!  If you think humidity is bad for PCPs you should try airbrushing in 60% humidity.  Even with three water traps installed the gun still sprays like a water pistol.

I was up til 0330 this a.m. drawing.  Once I get going I lose all track of time.  Slept til noon and now it’s about as hot as it’s gonna get out there.  I need to order a bunch of parts from Crosman before they are gone forever so that’s something I can do in the air conditioning.  I’ve got a dozen home improvement projects, air gun projects and art projects to work on if I want to.  We’ll just see what happens today!

Today started out with a 2 hour visit with the dentist getting a imprint done to replace the crown that I had for breakfast a few months back. He couldn't get the post out so he is going in another direction to replace it. So now I wait 4 weeks for the replacement to come and get it fitted right. Later on when it cools down some i've got to clean up around the pear trees in back, the rats are starting to chew them up. I need to find a way to get the whole top off the ground without breaking the branches. These trees were blow over by the hurricane and are at a 45 deg. angle. They are heavy with pears which makes the tree lean more. So for now I will retire to the shop and finish polishing stones until it cools off some.

 Spent yesterday fixing roads on the farm, 11 inches of rain over the last 3 days took its toll on anything on a slope. Have pics of washed out pumpkin fields, but too burned out to post
 Woke up at 3:30 yesterday AM to the power out, took them 12 hours to get it restored, a record, normally 4 hours is the longest with out power. Boiled water and dumped in the drip coffee pot to get my batteries charged

The power has fluctuated some at my place but nothing long term like what you had.
We all need a couple of weeks of clear skies  and sunshine just to dry out.
Many of the rivers continue to flood here in Minnesota.
Lots and lots of flood damage in MN as well as SD and Iowa.

Good morning, hot and dry here, need some rain but not the flooding. Managed to get some of the pear tree jacked up but still having some rodent destruction. So while in town I will get some cayenne pepper powder to mix in the sprayer and spray all the fruit trees. The cinnamon slowed them up some but need a stronger irritant to make it a miserable experience for them. Zoo food run, pick up the mail, top off vehicles. When it cools down later this after noon I will the get  feeders loaded.

Good Morning! I got up at 7:00 AM after 5hr 3min in bed. I am working on finishing my coffee and then I am going to head outside to do some yardwork and wait for UPS to deliver today. We have Bible Study tonight. My wife is going into our place in town to do some things there.

Sunny, hot with a high of 93°F. 32% humidity and winds WSW at 10 to 15 mph.

It's 73°F at 7:37 AM with no wind.

Good morning. Up at 0411 this time. There were only 12 members online at that time so there wasn't much going on here. I jumped over to the UK forum, (AGF), and browsed around.

At 0615 we went out to the blueberry bushes. Picked about 3 pounds again.

Afterward Pam watered the patio plants and I swapped the dull mower blades with sharp ones.  Then since it wasn't extremely hot I cut 2-1/2 acres before the sun drove me inside.

Heat index is already 97°.  Early tomorrow I'll hopefully finish our ysrds and early Friday I'll cut my younger daughter's yard and my wife's aunt's yard.
