Hurray...no RAIN today !
The weather forecast is for mostly sunny and 80 F today.
First breakfast, then shower.
At around 9:30 AM we will leave for Church..
After Church, I have yard work to catch up on today.
I need to cut the grass, federalize, spray for weeds, and re-seed the problem areas of the yard.
I also need to weed my wife's flower gardens.
Just maybe, I can fit in some air rifle shooting too.

I don't wear sunscreen I just wear a hat and long sleeve shirt over a tshirt to avoid sunburn. The long sleeve over the tshirt traps sweat which keeps you cool also. You can spray mist onto the long sleeve shirt before you start sweating if you prefer to be even cooler. 

Installed cheap blinds at my mother's place since hers no longer turned. The ez to strip Chinese screws really made the install a major PITA! God help whoever needs to remove those blinds years later because they're going to need all the help they can get. Wore me out. I'll have to weed eat her place later. Recovering with a beer and going to get the new vacuum working that I got her too.

Cheap screws are the norm now not only on cheap blinds but the more expensive ones as well. I've put semi high end blinds in our house, they came with low quality screws. I purchased good screws, I then used those screws when I installed blinds in both of my daughter's houses.

I'm just the opposite Tom. 🎉🎉 We're getting rain!!! It's only a tenth here and a tenth there but it's knocking down the fire danger and a BIG plus it cools down the air temps.
I've got to go and get another load of water before the road gets to wet but I'll gladly deal with that instead of a fire. It's been dry as a pop corn fart around here but it is the Arid zonea. 😁

Morning....
Daggone Secret Squirrel got me already this morning. After the normal morning routine I headed out with every intention of putting the Pell Master 700 back together and collecting some data on it. That's when something bright safety yellow caught my eye. The adjustable stand I took the halogen work lights off of to hang on the fascia of the shooting deck for night shooting. I knew when I removed the lights that the stand would serve another purpose.
I drilled 2 holes in the cross bar that held the lights and put hooks in them to hold clip boards. Perfect portable target stand.
I fooled around with that just long enough for the heat and humidity to build up enough that opening the door to shoot over the chrono is not a pleasant thought.
Maybe that's a sign that I need to make a short range indoor trap that can withstand pellet impacts at 5 - 10 yds. Then I can use the chrono indoors.
More than one way to skin a squirrel.

Good Morning! I woke up at 4:00AM as on a usual Sunday morning.

There was/is a fire nearby us I got an alert on my phone around 4:30. And an evacuation warning that did not include us a little later. They are doing well at putting it out, looks like about 13 acres so far.

These wild fires are so scary.
I pray that it's minimal damage where ever it goes and it gets put out quickly.

We were blessed and our fire crews are awesome. Held to 13.3 acres from what I've seen.
 No sign of rising smoke now. 

 I haven't seen anything about any structures being lost either.

It was reported at 3:29 AM and they were on it very quickly. I can say so far our Sage fire department have always been really good with responding to and fighting fires near us and the Sage area. They get all the cooperative resources they need for each fire very quickly.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! Back to the grind for me. I got up at 0530, I’m still finishing up my second cup o’Joe. I have a compressor to replace in a package unit heatpump. I need to get going, it’s going to be a hot one today.

Regular workday today, but later I'll be making a big batch of Pico de Gallo.  I may even break out an airgun or two, but with how windy it is, any shooting will involve slugs.

Packing and getting ready for my sons wedding in Croatia.   Guess I won't be practicing for a few days.

I did the final waxing and polishing on the gifted Daisy using Renaissance Wax / Polish.
I would post some more pics, but the camera just doesn't really show the depth or shine.


This is some really good stuff. It takes only a small amount too.

I got up at 4:45 AM this morning. I planned to just take it easy today and not do much at all. I just got a call from a grandson that lives in Idaho, he is down here at his mother-in-laws and asked if I was free to hang out with him if he came over today. Why yes that sounds like a good plan! 

 His wife is going to drop him off around 11:00 AM

Got to work at 0700 this a.m. and hit the ground running.  I haven't slowed down since.  Already drove two boat tours and I've got one more to do before I can call it a day.  Once I get the 1300 tour off the dock with Cap Aslan I can take a break and grab some chow.  The memsahib made me tomatoes and rice with corn pone so I'm pretty excited.

Still picking up the pieces from last week. Been icky all weekend and dealing with body wide flares. I probably picked up somebody's bug somewhere, either the dentist office or dermatologist office. Today the flares have let up but still a little sluggish. Staying in the house most of the day because of the heat. Early morning and late afternoon is when I venture out to take care of the yard and animals.

Sun is burning white hot lately not yellow so I can't take much of it either. Then in the shade of dusk or dawn the skeeters love to bite.
