Here it's 6am on a weekday. Most are getting ready to go or already on the way to work. Some that work the evening and night shifts are probably sleeping. Then we have the retired folks.. not all retired folks are willing to get out of bed this early.. they did that most of their lives.

It's either lay there and listen to the gears in my brain grind or get up. I get up.
Plus it's the 2 or more hours that are totally mine. The quiet of the morning with a cup of coffee on the back porch is
the best.

You're right, just thought 20 out of 30,000 was an extremely low number to be online.

I have always been an early riser, 99% of the time before dawn.

I agree Ron, my patio is the perfect place early in the morning to drink a cup pot or two of coffee.

Good Morning, I woke about 5:00 AM I still feel full from last nights meal but, it didn't impair my sleep which is really rare for me.
 I have a cup of coffee and an checking my emails now, I need to make 3 large grease pans for my son in law for his grills. I just make hanger brackets and attach handles on steamer pans for him to use as grease pans since they do large amount of meats for their mobile catering business. It is not unusual for them to have 5 or 6 events on the same day now so they need more setups in reserve.

They will be like these that I did previously. I repurpose the materials for trowels I but from Home depot.

Thanks, when I was first asked/offered to convert the steamer pans into grease pans I went shopping for materials and was just browsing Home Depot looking for a cheap source for some handles and metal that would work and I spotted the trowels and saw they had everything I needed. The trowel metal has to be heated to remove the temper so that it will bend without cracking/breaking on the ones Home Depot sells now. The first ones I bought for this purpose a few years ago were made of thicker metal that was not tempered, so that adds a step for me but doesn't effect the final outcome. One trowel is $5.97 and has the bracket metal and the handle that works great with a little shaping to the ends to make them match the mounting surface.

Good Morning. Well today my wife and I made it to 49 years easily by the grace of God.
 We decided to go out to diner and to a play at a theater that is about an hour from here. BUT, that will be tomorrow so, we aren't doing anything special today. The squirrel got the best of me yesterday so I will be finishing the grease drip pans today. I may deliver them to my daughters house when I get them done? If not I will need to do so tomorrow morning because they have all their catering grills/crews scheduled for use tomorrow.

Mornin y’all.  Because of my weird work schedule my sleep time is all messed up.  Went to bed about 0300.  Woke up at 0920.  Tonight I’ll try to go to bed about 2200 and get up around 0500 for the early shift.  We are short three rangers and everyone is pulling extra shifts to cover.

Sam it's yet more overwhelming proof that actors believe they are the elite therefore are entitled to not have to pick up their dog poop like peasants do. They're used to being allowed to get away with a lot due to all the "yes men" that flock around them along with all the idiots worshipping them like gods. Never met queefer myself or any other actor and I feel no loss whatsoever as I know most of them are empty souls no matter all the accomplishments and worship they get.

I enjoy getting up early before most others do.  There is something special about that early morning peace before the rest of the world around you wakes up.  Unfortunately my split shift work schedule, OT and regular life as a husband and father doesn’t allow me to get a full nights sleep on a consistent basis so when I can, I do sleep as long as possible.   I know we can’t make up sleep but it sure does feel nice to get up under my own power and feel rested on occasion.

Good Friday Morning..
Woke up and rolled out at 4am. Put the coffee on and streamed Motortrend channel for a bit. Heading for the shower then go outside a see what I can find to get into. No real plan so I'll just let the secret squirrel fly the boat this morning. Maybe I'll back the ATVs out of the ATV garage and see what I can get into in there. It's kind of a wide open canvas in there.

Good morning, yes I am still alive. My laptop keyboard died a few days ago and it's been a pain to post. It's also been a busy week for me as well. This morning it's clean out the van to make room for a passenger to make the trip for an anual meeting. Finish mowing the yard, pick up zoo food and mail. Spaghetti season has started so weather watching has been added to the morning routine. All good for now.

 Remembering 49 years ago My wife and I got up in San Diego and started our honeymoon amusement park rounds. We went to Sea World, Knotts Berry Farm, Movieland Wax Museum, and Disneyland that week. 

 We plan on enjoying the day together today and going to a play tonight at LifeHouse theater.

Today is travel home day.  We have been in Idaho since Monday.  We wandered, visited Coeur d’Alene, spent a couple days at Silverwood and today is the day to pack up and head home.  Right now I’m sitting on the dock next to Mrs. P sipping coffee while kids wake up, fish and possibly paddle board.  There are a few fishermen out in boats and the sun is up with a crisp breeze coming from the West.  I’m also watching a pair of osprey build a nest at the top of a fit the about 500 yards away from where I’m sitting.  So relaxing.  Enjoy the day people!

Over the last couple of days we've received about 4" of rain which is good because we need it.
It has helped to lower the temperatures some, but day by day it will start to rise to triple digits again.

Just staying cool is the rule of the day.

I've done 9 applications of Tru-Oil and sanding so far and I'm at the point of diminished return where it won't get any better and is only wasting time and oil.

When looking at it, sunglasses are recommended.

I'll do one more and call it done. Yea!
