Ya'll can have that nasty cold, I don't miss dealing with dead plants and broke plumbing. I have enjoyed walking in the woods here in the south when there is a snow storm that drops enough to stick and stay for a day or two but living in it nope, nada, ain't happening. The only snow I have on the ground here is my citrus trees are in full bloom and the flowers are white, my navel tree is almost solid white with flowers this year and the smell is intoxicating. I can remember as a kid the citrus trees in the groves down south would bloom and the whole area would be covered in fragrance.

I have a navel orange tree in a pot, that I bring indoors for the winter.  You are so right about the smell or orange flowers being intoxicating.  I love it.  I leave the tree outside for the summer and part of the fall.  Wish the growing season was longer here, but this is the best I can do up here.

Tonight and tomorrow morning we will have some of that nasty cold.  Can't say I'm looking forward to it, but I take it as it comes.

It's the same here in deep South Texas in the RGV.
The fragrance of orange blossoms is intoxicating.
We used to go "parking" in the orange groves and it's still a memory that comes back every time I smell
the blossoms.
Good memories.

Here it might get down to the low to mid 40s f and very rarely does it freeze.
It has snowed and those are Kodak moments for sure because it might be many years
before it happens again.

Of course we pay the price with the scorching temps in the summer.

Ron, I grew up in a town that was nothing but orange groves, even the high school was built in the middle of one. I remember driving down US27 to my grandparents place in Miami and there would be miles and miles of orange groves, now it's all asphalt and concrete.  Even the orange groves I once played in are now houses in their place. I am just happy to have the few in the yard and have fresh fruit to eat.

Thought I’d check back in, because I really didn’t do much today. No work for today, but I did get some rest. I worked 6 hours on Monday and 13 hours on Wednesday, and that was it. I enjoyed it, but my wife has not. I got a lot of work done outside here, though. Today, it rained and I didn’t feel like doing much. I just got up from a nap and the rain has quit and the sun is out. I suppose I’ll shoot some then.

I don't think I'll ever be moving to Florida but I sure do envy those who have citrus trees in their yard.   At least I have peach and apple orchards in the neighborhood.

Sounds like something from a Nevil Shute novel.  Makes me envious.  I don't have a boat bigger than a pram that sails but I might step the mast and go for a sail.  March is a breezy month here too.

Mornin y’all.  Driving boat tours again today.  This is the last big weekend of spring break in this part of the world.  Two more days of bad behavior then a month to six weeks of calm before the summer.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday!!! I stayed up last night, reading some history stuff on Wikipedia (a rabbit hole like many others for me), until 2200. So, I slept in until 0630. I don’t have any real plans today. I need to pickup the mail at 1000 hrs, because my wife is waiting on something we couldn’t wait for. (Our mail route has us last, after 1700). Other than that, I might pick a small task or two I can do around here. I think I’ll run the line trimmer around the house, too. Other than that, I’ll shoot some airguns, might even shoot something other than the ‘Cuda Max… no guarantees, though.

Wonder wife and I decided that we have way too much paperwork.   Not quite enough to cause joist sagging but a lot.   Some of it is kind of randomly filed.   I'm not good at organizing paper.   However I love spreadsheets so I'm going to create a few to eliminate more paper.  That'll be fun on this cold snowy/rainy day.

Good morning, not much going on today. Between the rain and an inner ear infection I am keeping activity to minimum. Probably spend some part of the day cutting and polishing stones. Finish making mounts for stones. If it dries out some work on the gate project. I am in the last stages of it, mostly prepping for painting. I am hoping for dry weather this week to paint.

Exactly what I was thinking, Brett. Didn’t happen though, I wound up sprucing up the 60 meter range with some topsoil to raise and level my target boxes… and Andi wanted to shoot my ‘Cuda Max with me. I’ll try again with the FWB Sport today.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday!!! I woke up at 0430 and started my coffee. There’s no Sunday school today, but we’ll be at Church at 1000 hrs. It’s supposed to be pretty windy today, but, I’ll try to shoot early afternoon (with my FWB Sport). I can hear the wind whipping already, so probably at 20 meters. We have small group at 1600. We expect some rain tonight. We need it.
