Well, so much for putting all of my air rifles on the gun rack. I can only get 2 of them up there because of the scopes and even the one without a scope won't fit because of the way the stock is shaped.

Well, wouldn't you know, the wife figured out how to get 3 airguns in the rack.😲 My dumb butt couldn't figure it out.😜😡😂

Today is bitter-sweet day of visiting my life long friend "Butch".
His parents and my Mom have been the definition of "BFF" since high school. They are now in their 80's and still hang out on occasion.
Butch and I literary grew up together.
His Dad "Gary", and Uncle "Herman" were Drag Racers running BB Mopars from the '60s to the late '80s until the local Drag Strips all closed. I pitted for their F.E.D. for nearly a decade.

Well, Wednesday his Dad had a stroke and is in a coma. Now the reality of the "mortality" is hitting hard.
Butch asked me to come over and start getting stuff ready to sell.
By "stuff" I mean a ware-house of 50 years of racing goodness.

Last time I was in that shop there was 2 AA Altereds, a Bantam and T-bucket. An Austin Healey Buggy-eye Sprite being fitted with a narrowed 8-3/4 rearend and a 340, and a slightly wrecked '64 Fury "max wedge" convertible from Arizona on deck next.
 
There is more 383, 440, 426 Wedge and Hemi stuff than you can shake a stick at. (Gary called them "Hem-My's)
But first there is 6-71 blowers, tunnel rams, and Dana 8-3/4's to crawl over to get to them.
And Herman's '65 original altered wheel-base Coronet.
 The old F.E.D. is stripped of it's running gear and hanging in the rafters.

How in the world are we going to sort an categorize a lifetime of collecting is beyond my understanding.. but here we go.

Good Morning!
I didn't get up until 6:00 AM today, I got to sleep around midnight. 

Today the Church has a So, Cal. Ladies meeting, a meeting for and by the ladies. There will be guys that drove there wives, so I will be just hanging out and visiting with the guys. The meeting is from 10:00 AM until they finish, and lunch afterwards. I expect everyone will probably be gone by 1:30-2:00 PM

 It is 54°F and raining today, so we will hanging out inside. After the meeting I will be staying inside the rest of the day too.

 While deducing the inventory, we found no less than six 426 hemi's,  a couple 392's and a boat load of blocks, cranks, heads, cams and intakes of unknown origin.
The T-bucket Altered is now disassembled and in the rafters along with the FED... BUT the Bantam is in his "other shop"!
Whoa.. Wait... there is another shop?!

Scott, I have been to estate auctions that were unbelievable. The things that were amassed over the years just blows your mind.

Butch offered me the Max Wedge, Sport Fury, Convertible project for helping him out... but I got no where to put it.
My shop is full.. may need a garage sale of my own!
By wrecked , it ran into a fence row on the drivers side...Only minor damage to the left and all replacement body parts are there.
Looks just like this but red... Gosh how I'd love a vintage B-body and Butch knows it.

My wife has been "suggesting" that it would be a good idea to clean up some of my stuff.   A few years ago I had a nice little yard/junkyard of cars, trucks and motorcycles.   I was pretty sure that I could get them all fixed up and running.   My wife was less sure.   Some of them are gone now.   So long as I move one out every year, she's satisfied that I'm making progress.   It's been an while since every vehicle on our property was roadworthy.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! I slept good last night, and yesterday for that matter. I got up at 0400, no sniffles or congestion this time. I didn’t get any calls to work yesterday, and I’m glad. Today, we have Sunday school and Church, small group this evening, provided I don’t get called out to work.

Today I am going to set a few fence posts and put the hinge bolts in the tree where I want to move the gate while Betty Lou continues the front yard clean up. My goal is to get everything set so all I haave to do is snip the old fence clips and move it to the new posts. This will increase the size of the fenced in area another 50' x 150'. 3/4 of the acre the house is on will be fenced in and yardwork friendly. It will still keep the dogs out of the swamp pond and woods.

Good morning, planted some of the fruit trees yesterday, will get the rest down in the next few days. Garden prep mostly, mix up new dirt for the boat and pots. Set up the seedling trays, clean out the pots, lay down the grass barrier, redo the watering system, and tidy up around the fish cleaning shack. Move the other boat to a new location and fill it up with dirt and make a raised garden bed out of it.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I got up shortly after 0400. I’m finishing up my second cup o’Joe and I’ll get ready for today. I’ll get Ayrabella on the bus for school and then I’ll have to call the office to see what’s up for today. I’m sure there’ll be something for me to do, I just don’t have a dispatch yet. I got through my on-call this weekend without a single call.

Spent some part of the morning in the shop realigning the facet arm on the faceting machine. Feed the zoo, order zoo food, deliver some strawberry plants to a friend, ride into town to pick up supplies and mail. Kind of taking it easy after the weekend garden work.

Got out early again this morning and back at the yard project. I have one more brush pile to finish up moving.
I fired up the old Husqvarna lawn tractor and comenced to abusing it. Everything with a 1" stem or smaller fell to the blades.  That old thing is a tank. Then I used it as a leaf rake and blew everthing that would chop up out through the fence. Betty Lou cut the rest of the old barbed wire fence out and we move a couple large dead fallen trees to the fence line. These hold the bottom of the fencing so nothing can push it's way through. This new area has alot of wild grass that grows in it and will be nice once it fills in and gets regular mowing and raking. I think it will also spread into areas that were buried in decades of leaves and fallen debris.
It was cool how it just tied in with the rest of the yard I had cleared last year. It's kinda like as if magic the yard doubled in size.
