I’m super happy with how it came out.  I’ve been meaning to do that for a long time but only recently salvaged the pallet boards.  I have some more to do in the far left corner to tie that whole wall together.  I’m off to work tomorrow afternoon for a long stretch and not sure when I’ll find the time or motivation.  At least I have the wood already on hand.

It's interesting how old discarded wood can be made to look brand new when used and applied right. It has alot to do with how you mix and match grains and colors. Clean cuts and good fits make a difference as well.

I'm at the pet sitting house. My daughter has her own dog walking business and she was going to be walking some dogs in the neighborhood so the dog I'm pet sitting and went with her. It was only 2 miles but it was up hill , down hill,then back up another hill. The whole 2 miles was going up and down hills. Man am I whooped!!! My daughter just laughed and said she's walked 10 miles already today and I countered I'm almost 30 years older than her and she's been doing this for 3 years already.

 My last day off work this year, need to do a wood boiler clean out before real winter hits, if it does LOL Will make a trip to work to cut a load of fire wood later on as we had a day of rain / snow mix and things got greasy yesterday. Add play with airguns when the urge happens

 BTW love the pallet wood paneling, might try that in the garage as I have acess to many pallets, maybe not the time and energy, and hard to rope kids in for some help LOL

Good morning GTA, from happy Lonsdale, Arkansas! I didn’t get to bed until 2230+ last night, woke up at 0300 to “P” and realized my air mattress was about a quarter low on air PSI… Oh well, got another 3 hours sleep and made a hot cuppa Joe. When my Mom got up, she made me a fantastic cuppa Cappuccino. 
Everyone is slow to move this morning, but we have a few things to do while Nana’s at work. She is the Church secretary at her work. She’s really, really having a hard time. But, tonight- after spaghetti left overs, it Christmas at Nana’s!!! 🎅 🌲

Brett, that shop work is looking fantastic! While we were on the road, I bumped into a family of, get this- 15!!! 13 kids, everyone was well behaved and sweet and Dad was packing a sidearm. I couldn’t help but compliment them and mentioned you and your family. It’s good to see large families, with more children than is the norm, getting along better than most and in your case- getting things accomplished together.

I love my GTA Family, I can’t help it.

Up @ 0500.  Took offspring #1 to the airport.  It’s back to school for him.  He is in his second year of a MD/PhD program at UMN. 

Mrs. P and I stopped and grabbed coffee out on our way back home from the airport.  Great way to start the day honestly. 

I’ll mill about the house for a bit.  I’ll go play pool with pops like I normally do and then I’ll head into work.  I am working another 32 hour shift at work.  Not really thrilled about it but it is what it is.  It’s always better once I get there and into it than it is when I’m anticipating/leading up to it.  I’d much rather stay home and chase Mrs. P around the house and play with the kids.

Brett, I mentioned that my wife & I have 6 and we’re down to one left in the nest. The wife cheerfully said that we “were ‘almost’ halfway” to their 13… that was humbling. 😂

Good morning GTA! Happy New Year’s Eve+ Eve!!! Other than that- what day is it? Oh… Happy Saturday! I slept good last night, I bought a new cot & sleeping pad yesterday. Crawled into my sleeping bag at 2100 and slept in until 0500… perfect! I’m having coffee and reading. When the girls get up, we’re opening Christmas presents with Nana & Aunt Meme!!!

Got up at 5am and just been watching recorded college football, sippin' coffee and surfin'.
I left off on the 2100 class pumper revist yesterday with one gun (766) left to shoot for accuracy.
I'll get that one wrapped up this morning the move on to getting some chrono numbers on 3 of the 5.
The other 2 need to have parts combined to get one of them up and running until I can get the parts to get the other one going/
So I guess the plan is to spend another day in the Red Shed with airguns.

Good morning, a much better day for me, no headache to deal with this morning. Weather is warming up and the wind has laid down enough to get this panel cut without setting me or the yard on fire. Later on I will empty out the rock tumblers to see if the rocks are ready for the next stage of the process.

Still at work until 2300 tonight. 

Last nights shift was decent.  We had a car pole to check out.  A couple younger women (girls to me) swiped a pole and knocked a fuse door open so the lights went out for those customers fed off of that transformer.  We showed up and inspected our equipment, closed in the fuse door and off back to the shop.  The rest of the grave shift was quiet.  I already reported in for the day shift and all is quiet at the moment. 

I woke up this morning @0635, broke down my sleeping gear, made coffee.  Now I’m riding the wave of the internet airgun forums, going to eat and read and get started on listening to another Sean Ryan Podcast interview.  This will be a three day weekend for me once I leave this place.  I’m looking forward to it.

UP at 6:57 after 6 hours 27 minutes of total sleep, I did wake up three times in the night but was able to roll over and go back to sleep. So that's a great start to this day.

I am having my Coffee now.

 We are going to take my youngest daughter and her family out to see a movie today, it was suppose to happen on Christmas eve but didn't work out. Afterwards we will eat somewhere together and then head home.

The weather is good for watching a movie! I will have to keep an eye on those that don't slow down their driving in the rain on our way there and back though.

I may take a boat and run up river a mile or so to a spot where I can land and walk into the Morrison Hammock wilderness area.  Hammock (Hamook)  is a Timucuan indian word that means "a cool and shady place".
