We're heading down to Phoenix😞. Hate the big city! Going down to get a recliner for the wife. The love seat and couch is at the wrong angle size for her back and she's really hurting from it. It's about 250 miles round trip 😳! Did I say I hate big cities. Yeah it's not LA or New York but........

Phoenix is the 5th largest city in the USA, so yes it qualifies as a large city.

We're at Costco right now in Prescott looking at recliners so may not need to go all the way to Phoenix.🙏🙏🙏🙏

We found the chair at Costco 🎇🎇🎇🎇🎇👍👍👍👍

And saved some gas and time too, cool.

Flew into and out of PHX a few years ago.

First time I realized it was in a valley. I also thought it might not be much longer until the houses get built all the way to the edge of the valley.

I also remember looking down and seeing one dinky little canal coming out of the foothills surrounding PHX. I thought that might have been great 50 years ago, but it seemed laughably small compared to the water needs of the metro.

We NORMALLY get a lot of rain during the summer with the monsoons. This year because of el ninos everyone but us is getting rain. Last year we got lots and lots of rain with la nina but commiefornia didn't from what I remember. Most all of the water is from wells.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday! I got up around 0440. We went ice skating yesterday for Ayrabella’s birthday, surprisingly- I’m not any more sore than usual. I haven’t been on skates in a couple decades, I didn’t fall any, but I did stay up later than usual last night. Anyway, the only thing I have planned is a routine doctor visit later this morning. I also need to pickup another Flambeau rifle case for my DF Mk2. I did get to shoot my FDAR XS60C a little the other day. If I get a chance to shoot today, I’m going to start with that one again. Coffee first.

Most Walmarts have a fast food joint inside such as Subway. I am amazed they they haven't figured out that a bar would be a gold mine. Most husbands and some wives would be happy to hang out while the spouse shops. Pretty sure they would even encourage extended shopping times.

Began waking up around 4:30 and just laid there enjoying the quite until 5:00 when Rambo decided it was time for me to get up.
Put the coffee on and took care of the dogs. Once they were back in the house I grabbed coffee and settled into the recliner for local news/weather on the TV and my surfing routine on the web.
This is also the time I ponder a plan for the day providing it hasn't already been predetermined by Betty Lou. Which has been today. She informed me that we will be making a store run for milk and such.
Once that's out of the way I'll slink off to the Red Shed to do a few things I have on my mental to do list.. if I can remember where I put the list.

Good morning, I was hoping this cloudy, drizzly weather would clear out. So the welding project is on hold for a minute. The ground is damp enough for transplanting fruit trees, most are dormant so planting them won't be a big shock. Trim back the grape vines while they are dormant, they didn't make any fruit last year so its time to trim them. Move another old boat to the back with the other one to make a second raised garden bed. Get garden stuff cleaned up and ready to plant in.

Yes Bill, welding, I do mig, o-a, arc, and plasma. I am working on a gate panel right now for a customer I did forestry work for. The loggers nailed one side of the double swing gate, I have that fixed but it left a big hole in the gate. So I am putting a panel in with a bird in it to plug up the hole, the other side will get a snake due to request of the owner.

It wouldn't have 🤬 me off so much but we were suppose to meet our daughter at a Mexican restaurant. She called me and wanted to know where we were and she had been sitting waiting at the restaurant for 30 mins by that time. 🤬🤬🤬

I have no idea.  I still have today and tomorrow off work.  I’ll go back to 32 hour shift Friday afternoon.  I am thinking that I should go back early.  I’m antsy with no purpose/list during this time off now.  All of the festivities are done so it’s back to the normal routine.

I was awake until 2:00 AM and woke up around 7:30 AM today. The bedroom was cool and I stayed under the cozy warm blankets until 8:00 AM. My wife had an alarm go off right before 6:00 AM (I woke up then too but went back to sleep) and she got up and put the trash out to the road today. Hank our Great Dane got up with her and Kellen our Terrier mix stayed in her bed until after I got up and got dressed. Kellen has been limping badly for the first 50' or so every morning for a couple of months now, she is really slowing down and getting weaker too with an occasional stumble while just walking. We have no idea how old she is but she is getting up there and it really shows in the way she moves. Hank continues to act like a young dog despite his old age.


The only plans I have for today are Bible Study at church this evening.

Driving from Fort Lauderdale to Ocala.  Have to take the fast way today (Fl Turnpike).  Id rather take back roads but we have a dinner date today

I do have a couple turning projects that I would like to do.  I also have a couple that need to get done.  I just don’t have the motivation. 

I also have some pallet boards that I picked up to finish/close a wall in the shop.  I should grab a couple boys and start getting that done.  It would go fairly quickly especially with many hands.  Not sure if they would want to help right now or not.  Maybe just one more cup of coffee first 🤣😎👊🏼
