Hope ya get better soon Matt. I took another day today just to try and get over the last of whatever I had. The problem is, sitting in my recliner all day is gonna hurt when I get up too. I bundled up with a hoodie a couple hours ago and took a walk outside just to loosen up a bit. I may do that again before bed.

That is ill have to pick up my antibiotics tomorrow when the pharm opens.

I got up and took a HOT shower this morning and so far I feel better than the past few days. Waiting for daylight then I'll see if I can venture out.

My wife is packing to be gone for 3 days herself.  She's getting it all in 1 suitcase or at least that's her goal. Lol

LOL... us guys could probably go for 3 days with the clothes we have on our backs.

Thanks John... woke up feeling much better. We'll have to wait and see how the day goes. At least, for now, my mustache is now wet from a leaking nose and no sneezing so far. I still feel cold and that's not normal for me.

Well, she did manage to get it all in 1 suitcase.😳 She's on her way this morning.

Forgot to say, my sis got an elk yesterday.

Good morning GTA! Happy Tuesday! I got up at 0500 and have had my 2 cups o’Joe. I might make a bit more coffee before I get moving. Yesterday, the office called me to send me out to work, before I had a chance to call them. Not being on vacation yet, it’s much worse than usual. Because, there’s really not much going on. But, when you think there’s nothing- it turns out they need you. And when you think you should expect something and get ready, there’s nothing to do. So, I’ll just have to wait a bit & I’ll find out what I’m supposed to be doing today.

Slipped out to the Red Shed and fired up the propane wall unit. I have an osculating pedestal fan in front of it set on low to distribute the heat around the shop. Once it gets warmed up in there I'll lower the setting on the wall unit. This unit has a built in thermostat and it controls the flame depending on your setting. It's only 35 out right now.
I'll move a pellet trap in for getting chrono numbers and open the shooting window to shoot for accuracy.
Once the temp outside reach the predicted 60 degrees I can shut the heat down. That won't be until later this afternoon.

Same here Bill, it's 44* now. I am waiting for it to warm up a little to get the outside chores done. Later on I will get in the shop and overhaul it again, more shop toys on the way this week. You don't realize how you accumulate until you need the space for the next project.

Hello Folks! 

Up at 0433.  I must have been sleeping hard because I woke up to the alarm going off but it was 3 minutes after the time it’s set for. 

I dressed and packed up and made the commute to work.  I stopped at Costco fuel and filled up the Corolla.  Swing by the shop and grabbed a cup of coffee and dropped off my lunch in the fridge.  Now I’m in the car listening to podcasts and waiting for time to start work. 

Today our work group is going out to breakfast.  I’m looking forward to some grub.  Hopefully the rain will hold off.  It’s been raining on and off all morning so far. After breakfast we will head out and conquer the work.

Well, no work for today. Doesn’t mean a call won’t come in and then I have to go. But, I don’t feel like sitting around. I think I’m going to shower, get dressed and take a ride into town. My American flag has shredded these past few weeks with the weather and wind. I get the embroidered ones from Harbor Freight. I’ll stop there and get a new one and then stop by Tractor Supply on the way back. I’ll get a bag of corn for the deer and pay my T.S. credit card. We’ll see what I can get into at home when I get back, if I don’t get called out for work by then.

Took my last sick day.

Plans include some grocery shopping (done!), attempting to sell my F-150-- on-going, lots of "I want it" no-shows or the "I'll give you $500 cash" blind message which I follow with "You can give me $1300 or you can keep shopping." 

We'll be taking my mother to visit my father at the nursing/rehab facility later.

I work tomorrow, and Tuesday of next week, and that's it before the New Year.  Winter Solstice in 2 days; my favorite day of the year.

31* predicted for tonight with frost, so its cover everything back up for the next day or so. I don't mind the cold but when gets in the 20's for several days along with broke plumbing that is where I draw the line for the weather.

After a storm caused a leak with mold in the roof and drywall in a couple different rooms I got a new roof through insurance and some of the drywall replaced and painted with stout fumes so I slept with the window open in 32 degree weather to get fresh air in the home last night then today I moved a lot of furniture back into place. My back isn't happy but I am after the nearly 2wk process of the repairs.

Heading back into work tonight at 2300 hrs for 16 hours.  Hoping it’s a quiet night on the work front.

Good morning GTA! Happy Wednesday- it’s Hump-Day, already! I got up just before my alarm that was set for 0400. I have work for today, a 3 door freezer that’s down. I’m having coffee, then my 0600 meeting. 5 more days til Christmas and only 2 more work days left for me this year.

It's a bit chilly this morning. I fired up the propane heat and lit one brick in the wall unit. We usually just heat with a small ceramic portable heater unless temps drop below freezing but I just wanted to knock the chill off.
Betty Lou got up and treated the dogs to a special breakfast of warm oatmeal and dogfood mix. She put on the coffee then went back to bed for a couple hours.
When she gets back up we'll get ready and head to Troy for the monthly shopping. First stop will be the smoke shop to get vape products. Then TSC for dogfood then on to Walmart for bulk groceries.
Probably stop for breakfast or brunch somewhere. Depends on if we eat before or after shopping.
I'll have my coffee, surf the net, pay bills online and get my shower before she gets back up.
