At 8:17 PM it has already cooled down about 20-24° around the valley it is now 86-92°F.


It is supposed to be 72°F at 6:00 tomorrow morning.


 I have Jury Duty but don't go in tomorrow but have to call in again tomorrow night to find out about Tuesday.

It never got out of the 70s last night and is suppose to have a high of 95 but it's a DRY heat so.... I've got to go into town and pick up a package at the PO then go finish filling all of the gallon containers with filtered water for me and the dogs to drink. Wife won't drink it as she's a water snob and only drinks Dasani. I keep telling her Dasani is just filtered water also but what can I say.lol

By the way, the difference between the heat you feel in the sun and the shade is much higher at 5270 ft elevation than at sea level. There's not as much air between you and the Sun up here.

Finished with the animal supplies, manage to get some things for me but wally world in Marianna turned into a free for all. The clueless were just wondering around and plugging up the isles. I bailed and went home before I started bulldozing people out of the way, the rudeness is just unreal. In the morning before daylight I will finish shopping and load up on fuel, after that I am not going anywhere unless I absolutely have to. This area turns into something like something from "Mad Max" or the "Poseidon Adventure" when a storm is predicted to hit this area. People just plain go nuts.

I used to have to suffer through that twice a year when vacationers would roll in trashing up the lake with diapers tossed on the bluffs instead of the trash cans less than 10ft away. I was always so relieved to have the lake and parks back to myself without all the idjits clogging up the roads ect.

Good morning GTA! Happy Monday! I slept in until 0600. It’s only 62* outside and only supposed to get to 84* today. That’s a significant change as far as I can feel it. We might see mid 90*s after Labor Day, but only for a few days now, predicted. I’m fine with summer moving on. I only have a 4 day work week, I’m taking 5 days off including next weekend. I have work scheduled Tuesday & Wednesday, but I’ll have to call in this morning to see what’s scheduled for today.

So nice this mild weather today after the storm after near two months of high temp drought! Sure been looking forward to the Fall getting here.

I've heard by law bottled water corps aren't required to make anything better than just tap water. A lot of brands taste like plastic and chlorine to me. Only a few taste good to me.

Well, I am on standby for Jury Duty tomorrow too, and have to check after 6 PM as for Wednesday.


I need to take the wife to go grocery shopping and need to go to the bank too. We have not found the right car deal for her yet, but we will, hopefully soon though. It's funny that we are too busy to just go car shopping. I have been looking online but so far haven't found an available one we are interested in when we also have the time to go look at it. I am being picky about details which makes it a bit harder, but I decided I am not going settle for something less than I am looking for. No Black or White cars and low miles, all wheel drive, Rav4 or CRV top trim level or loaded with options.  I may just end up buying her a new car because of the inflated used prices.

I'm thinking of going down to Alto and getting a haircut in a little bit then I'm coming back home for a bite of lunch.  After that, I have a 1300 appointment for a Magnesium infusion to help overcome my Hypomagnesemia.  Then it will be too hot to shoot anything.

Good morning GTA! It's 73°F on my back deck and feels nice in the house because we left the evaporative coolers fan on all night drawing in that cooled night air.


 I need to take my wife to the bank and grocery shopping before it heats up. I am drinking my coffee and waiting on her. I found a car I am interested in going to check out, if it's still available later today. That's all I am planning today besides staying cool and hydrated.

Going to be a nice day in the Midwest...80s temp. Heading up to Lake Geneva Wi for a couple of days, just to get away. Were staying at the Geneva Grand resort...  old playboy club back in the day.

Next couple of days are filled with eating & drinking, and a boat cruise on the lake.

Great value bottled water taste like that and arrowhead tastes like dirt, at least to me.

Suppose to get up to 97f today which means it'll be around the C mark at my house. Have to go to the transfer station then move the water trailer up to where I can pump it into our storage tanks. Wife finally realizes that leaving the tank on the trailer full is not a wise thing to do. Only 1 more day of this heat and then we get rain thus cooler temps. At least through Sunday.

Afternoon y'all.  We been hard at it since sun up helping other people that live on the river get ready.  NOA is predicting 8'-12' of storm surge and flooding along the river will be a problem for some folks.  So far I haven't seen any indication that we will need to evacuate.  The bug-out stuff is already loaded.  We'll be watching the weather for the rest of the day and I'll be plinking with various air rifles between the bands of showers.

Well the first two days of Jury Duty I was off today I have to be there at 7:30 AM, so we'll see how it goes I can't plan anything, I just wait to see if they use me or if I just have to sit in the waiting room. The courthouse I have to go to is 30 miles and 43 minutes away in light traffic.

Mawnin y'all.  Man that was a PARTY!.  I think we got some wind and a little rain.  Mostly blew off to the east of us.  Bummer.  I was hoping for a good blow that would bring some trees down.  I could lose a few in my yard and I'd rather have my home owners insurance pay me for them than me pay a tree surgeon.

We're all good here.  It hardly looks like there has been a storm at all.  Since I've been up for about 24 hours straight my plans are to get some sleep.

Cap, I was more than a little concerned for your safety yesterday, when one of the NEWS stations had a storm arrow pointed at Sopchoppy.  I am glad you are good to go.  Some got hit hard though.

  I am back at home for the rest of the day, and don't go in tomorrow.  I have to be back for Jury selection process Friday morning though unless they call and excuse me based on my answers on the questionnaire. It is a Trial that is predicted to go through 9/21. My opinions/answers might get me kick off? I think it is pretty likely that a plea deal will happen before trial though. That's all I will say about that even though we received no instruction to not talk about it yet.
