Good morning GTA! Happy Thursday! I got up around 0500, I think… I’m at work already. The past couple days work have been hard, but good work… might be my attitude, finally making me feel a bit better. I’m hoping to get through today and maybe getting some time today or tomorrow to go through my van at the house. I’m getting a new van next week and I’d like to make the transfer go better by having less stuff to shift out.

The usual routine, then load up the cooler with ice, drink, food, and go ride the roads for a little while. Did get some small rain showers here this morning which kept things cool for a minute. There is another excessive heat advisory again today so I will be extra careful with the outdoor activities while exploring.

I got in bed at 1:30 AM and slept until 7:00 AM today, that's better. I woke up to the sound of rain  .
The forecast was for 15% chance but 90% of the time that means 0% for us, LOL. OH, well it is refreshing even though it only rained for 5 minutes messing up my truck and watering the weeds. At least it knock down the dust and pollens.

Bill, I have a Dakota 4x4 I use for adventures on or off road.  It's a 5 speed with a stump pulling rear end and with a limited slip differential also. I have no need to have 4 wheeler, utv, or golf cart and most places I go don't allow them anyway or if they do you have to have a permit specifically for them. I hunt and fish mostly out of the truck, All the gear stays in it most of the time. The van has become the other truck to some extent.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday!!! I got up at 0515 and started the coffee. I never got around to fixing up my work van, and I was supposed to mow and trim first thing this morning… but, we got a heavy thunderstorm that rolled in late last night. I also got a new scope mount and a cheek rest/riser that came in yesterday… I’m not sure what to do, so I’m having coffee, contemplating what I really want to do. There’s a Barn Meeting tonight, so I’ll have to make up my mind soon so I can be done with whatever I do well before then. It’s very possible for me to finish my coffee & breakfast, put sharp blades on the mower, then get that scope mount and cheek rest done, shoot a little, and then work on the van until I call it quits. I could possibly mow and trim after work during the week.

I was awakened by the alarm clock at 03:30 to be at work at 04:00.
Everything was back up and running since 23:30 last night!     Home by 06:30.
Now I should mow today but the weatherman say's more rain.

Set up the bench for the drill press, vise and 3/4 hp bench grinder yesterday. I got the drill press and vise bolted to the bench but I couldn't find bolts for the grinder. I'll continue that hunt today before I just go buy some.
2 60' BNC cables and the 20' HDMI cable are reportedly out for delivery today. So I'll most likely run the last 2 security cameras.
Next I want to relocate the 32" flat screen to above the 7' roll up door. It will be a better sight path from the shooting bench than where it is now.
Betty Lou wants to wait another month to make the free dump run. There is lots of room left on the trailer and more projects planned that will add to the load. If we do decide to dump it before the free day it's only $20.

Well, I’m not mowing either, just stepped outside and it’s raining a little still. I just remembered another project… a friend gave me a mower jack, but it’s too narrow and not adjustable. I have some square tubing to spread the front wheel supports, which will make it perfect, but I want longer matching bolts. I think I’m going to set that all up and go get bolts that’ll fit. Once I get that to work for me and get sharp blades on, I’ll figure on doing the rifle and the van. There’s a lot of limbs and sticks that came down that need picked up too, now that I can see.

Mawnin y'all!  After six days of late patrol and boats I'm whipped.  The heat is brutal but I seem to be holding up well.  Just can't remember what day of the week it is.

It don't signify.  I ain't working today.  That's all that matters.  Once the morning chores are done the memsahib has indicated that I will be needed for cuddling on the couch.  That's all the plan I need.

All cables arrived as promised. Made a mock up run with the ATN X Sight scope to the 32" TV/Monitor via the 25' cable and the micro adapter. Works great... it's like 'scope on a big screen'. After breakfast I'll get to hanging TV, security cameras and running cables.

Awake at 6:05, I need to take my wife grocery shopping this morning. It is suppose to only get to 92°F today. I will enjoy some time outside and then plan to finish preparing for Sunday services.

Worked a double.  Off @0700 this morning.  Cappuccino at the moment.  I may FINALLY open the metal carport (12'X20') boxes and see where to start.  I have one more shift today before I've earned a weekend so my time at home today is limited.  I may take a nap cause my eyes are dry and burning for the moment.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! We had a great Barn Meeting last night and lots of really good gumbo with sausage, chicken and fish… rice & potatoes, etc. I could’ve slept in, but I got up about 0530. I’ve had my coffee and did some reading. I’m going to go get ready for Sunday school and Ch**ch. After Ch**ch, I might check my sight in on a rifle that I worked on yesterday. This afternoon is small group and after that I might go ahead and scrape the mower deck and put on sharp blades. I got that mower jack fixed yesterday. We had another strong thunderstorm roll in this morning, so the grass is wet, but I’ve had a full weekend anyhow. I’ll get the mowing and trimming done after work this week, like I suspected how it would go.

I'm finally getting around to sizing the noe 30 grain bbt slugs I cast about a month ago. Been to busy or it's been too hot in the airgun shed to work. Went to look for the.218 die and couldn't find it. Was getting 😡 because we had cleaned out the shed a few days ago and I'm thinking, did the wife throw it away?!? Finally found it right where I left where it wouldn't get lost.🤣🤣 Going to bring the impact out to the shed and do some shot strings with the newly sized slugs. Then I'm going to do the same thing with some.217 sized slugs and see what the vel difference is if any.

Where is the off button to this inferno weather. Got some rain last night which helped cool things down for a minute and watered everything but it has dried out again. Not much planned for today, just the usual morning chores and then retreat inside. Been able to get some long neglected fishing gear repaired and ready to use. Put the freezer(s) in overtime for block ice production for fishing and prep for a hurricane. Just another exciting day on the heated frontier.

I was up at 4:00 had Sunday School and Ch**ch this morning went and got Chinese Take Out for lunch, took a short nap in my recliner, ran to the Pharmacy and picked up prescription that were auto-filled. We have our evening Ch**ch service at 5:00 and business meeting following that. It is 95°F with a real feel of 98°F. Tomorrow is suppose to be 98°F here but, we have plans to go to a resort in the desert with pools with my youngest and her family for a few hours. It will be hotter but we'll be staying cool in the water.
