Good morning everyone, I went to bed at 11:30 PM and I woke up at 3:50 AM, I could not get comfortable to go back to sleep, I was hoping to sleep until 5:40, Oh well.

  It is suppose to rain all day again today so I will find indoor activities to keep busy. The expected high today isn't too warm either, with the nearby snow, it will probably just get to 45°F at my place with 5-8 mph winds. (I know it sounds warm to Tom)
The 5 day is more of the same, then 2 sunny days. This is about as winter as we get around here. It is nice to see water falling out of the sky, but I am ready for some more sun.

Your right Dan, +45 F would be a winter heat wave in Minnesota this time of year.

  Most winter days here a windbreaker is all the jacket that is needed, I don't even have a real winter coat. I do own some thermal underwear from back when I worked in the walk in  -10°F freezer and 36°F coolers at the store though. I usually wear flannels in the winter with a light weight jacket or with a windbreaker when I go outside.

Shorts and sleeveless have already replaced the pants and long sleeves for the year. Those move to the bottom drawers and the back of the closet. Hoodies come off the coat rack and hats replace them. Betty Lou has already washed them all up and put them away.

When I hunted Thursday, I came in with my under shirt sweaty and my face red and dripping.  This morning, the temperature was in the 40s.  Not time to put away the hunting coat yet!

 It is a balmy 19 degrees, we had another 3" of snow last night I shoveled off the front stoop, a path to garbage recycling, ant to the garage and wood burner. Unloaded the load of firewood from the truck to the woodshed, then gassed up the blower, and aimed it to the sun to get the adjustable discharge chute to thaw and move again. All while wearing my crocks and an un zipped Carhart winter jacket.
 
 Came in having a cup of joe and then dress a bit lighter for the weather and blow out the driveway, then head to the farm for another load of firewood, and if critters are about perhaps a bit of end of season hunting

Some develop a pretty high tolerance to cold weather.   Even at my advanced age I still sometimes go out snow shoveling wearing sandals, shorts and T shirt.  So long as I'm shoveling fast and there's no wind I don't really get cold.   I'm doing it barefoot a lot less now than when I was younger.   Snow melting on on my feet is a wonderful sensation.   This year I haven't worn a winter jacket yet.  The women in my life sometimes let me know that I'm crazy.

While walking about with the dog and finishing my pot of coffee, I thought more on the fence and also remembered how much limbs and sticks fell the past several weeks. I think I should also gather all the downed limbs and sticks I can and burn them in the burn pile. There’s a ton of it this year and it’s easier to gather before the grass really starts growing. Our biggest problem here is the wind and today is calm enough to get it going and hopefully get it done throughout the day.

Same here I have a lot of limbs to pick up and just haven't gotten around to doing it yet. Thankfully none have fallen over any fences for me to have to repair yet. I didn't winterize the mower as I've used it for transport over the property and trailer hauling almost daily. Got a carb gasket kit and a gallon of chem dip to soak it in but after spraying carb cleaner in it the thing runs way better so I may put that chore off awhile removing the carb to clean it and replacing the gaskets. Haven't ran the tractor in awhile so I started it and let it warm up to temp charging the battery but I'll use it to collect the limbs and dump them in the woods if the ground doesn't get too soggy from a lot of rain.

Got some slugs for the 12ga so I need to enjoy some fun target practice.

So, $3400 later Gracie is home from the Vet hospital. She seems to be doing a lot better and all is good with the pack.

That's good she is home but uffda that bill.

Right after we moved here 3 years ago March she had to have a growth removed from her neck but the vet that was taking care of her miss diagnosed the problem and opened her up to remove rocks from her stomach when the problem was the mass on her neck. That bill was also around $3k. The rocks will move through their system with no problems normally but this time they got stuck together some how and would move through naturally.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! Chillie let me sleep in until about 0600 and then we both got up. Kind of weird, but I guess we were tired. Today we have Sunday school, Ch**ch, small group and then an evening service. Not much room for anything else, except maybe a nap after lunch.

It's a little on the cool side this morning but it is supposed be sunny and warm up to 35 F today.
I am expecting snow and freezing rain tonight and tomorrow morning.
More snow is on the way Tuesday night, Wednesday and Wednesday night.
After that the forecast is for clear sunny sky's and temps in the mid 20s to 30s for a few days.

Morning..
I slept until 5:45 this morning. Made coffee, fed the dogs and let them out. Waiting for the dew to dry off the grass then I will mow. Nascar Xfinity was cancelled due to rain yesterday so it will be a double header today beginning at 2:30..

I think the pale skin looks great compared to the original jaundiced one.

Up and started pruning the blue berries, take all the dead limbs and vines. The mosquitoes have started early. Make a lawn and garden run for sprays, fogger juice, and fertilizer. Need wood working stuff as well. So a road trip to Marianna is the plan for the day.

My thoughts exactly. So I went just with oil. Two coats so far.

Three coats of oil and done. Waiting on a trigger guard.
