Tommy, I will take hurricanes and tornadoes any day over freezing to death 5 months out of the year and having to push snow on daily basis, hang in there spring is coming(maybe).  A disgusting 71* here this morning with a 94% humidity. Hot and muggy and it's not even March yet. Plans for today, finish up what didn't get done before the flare fallout that has put me down for 2 days. Hopefully by the weekend I can get all the goodies mounted on the Hercules, the slug mold may take a few weeks to get here so I will make the best of it for now. May end up shooting the rest of the pine cones down so I can clean them up before I have to mow the grass.

I been up for about an hour and a half.. sippin' coffee, watchin' the news/weather and reading the GTA forum.
It's a rare morning that the dogs ain't even got up yet.
I see daylight breaking outside and I'm heading for the shower. Then out to the Red Shed for some bench time until Betty Lou rings the breakfast bell.

The parade just came down the hallway out of the bedroom.. it was led by Betty Lou, then Rambo with Boss bringing up the rear. Funniest part is that they were all yawning and blinking trying to wake up. The procession carried right past me into the kitchen.
As if the lineup was planned...
The coffee is located the farthest into the kitchen, then Rambo's bowl and Boss's bowl is closet to the kitchen entry. All three stopped perfectly at their designated locations.
You can't make this stuff up.

  It's still drizzling raining at my house, I am anxious for daylight to see where the snow line moved now. I think it will be close to the same as yesterday. The hill across the road did melt off yesterday by late afternoon.

These 2 have been Mutt and Jeff for near 8 years now. It's funny to see them sleeping in the exact same position, as they are right now. If one goes to the bedroom to sleep, the other follows.
On some occasions Betty Lou sleeps in one bedroom and I in the other. The dogs will then split up but, it's random which sleeps where.
Rambo spent most of the day yesterday in the bar/mancave because Betty Lou was doing laundry and I had left the door open. He does not like the washer running and wants out of the house. I think it goes back to his living on his own in the woods for the 1st year and half of his life as a stray. Even today, he never closes his eyes all the way when he sleeps. He hears every single noise and feels every movement.

Our female golden Gracie spent the night at the vets. For some reason she got a massive infection and had to be put on IV antibiotics. She's 9 years old and my wife's retired service dog.

The snow line moved up and away from us a little bit overnight but where snow remains looks to me like a deeper blanket from here.

  I just looked at the Acuweather map for the last 24 hours and it shows that it snowed at my house from 1:00 AM to 4:00 AM. It's interesting seeing where it didn't get melted by rains.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! We made it!!! I woke at 05-something, got out and I’m at work… I have a TXV to replace in a brand new freezer out in the middle of nowhere. I’m hoping this is all I have to do today, I didn’t write this job up, I hope it goes well. I have parts for 3 more jobs I didn’t write up. Summer’s not even close and my sanity and patience is already wearing thin. I’d much rather be launching projectiles today. I have a 3 hour ride home from here and I’m hoping to score some ammo on the way home.

My 120 pound Anatolian Shepard is staying right next to me because he's freaked out by todays windyness.   I can't really hear the wind but I'm half deaf.    He's supposed to be the protector guard dog but he's afraid of pretty much everything bigger than a squirrel.   He gets away with a lot because he's cute and charming.   Kind of like a lot of women I've met.

Good morning GTA! Happy Saturday! Chillie woke me up at 0430 to go outside. She’s doing a so-so job of training us. I could’ve slept in another hour or so, but at least she “went” outside. It feels like Spring is coming here, though it’s 42* out right now and supposed to get to 50* with calm winds: 7mph at the most, later on. I need to take Chillie to get her nails cut. Other than that, I might work on the backyard fence to get it closer to being finished. Maybe rebuild at least one of the 2 gates. I might get to shoot something.

I got up at 4am and Rambo actually got his fat butt up with me. I think, like me, he had that urge because he went to the door. I let him out and I could see on one of the security cameras that he went to the woods. I suppose he had business to attend to.. 
He came back in and ate half his food and wobbled back to bed.
My plan for today is to continue tinkering with the Fortitude then NASCAR later. Maybe sip a little icey cold happy pie creek water.

My internal alarm clock went off at 0530... just like a workday. Me and the dog made coffee, went "out", then contemplated "What's your plans for today?"
 I know I need to replace the shelves on the Lazy Susan since they were delivered Thursday evening. Some Grand-kid thought they were "Hide-away stairs" to get up on the kitchen counter and broke both of them.
  Other than that I think I am free for the day to putz around the garage / shop.
 I been gathering materials to rebuild the backyard shooting back-stop but we got a couple inches of snow last night so I may hold off.

Foggy and with light drizzle, so some outdoor activities will have to wait this morning. Tidy up the house a little, feed the piranhas with beaks, hunt down all the stuff the Hercules, hopefully the mold for it will be here this week. Most the fishing supplies showed up yesterday so I can get that project started. Just take the day as it comes.

While walking about with the dog and finishing my pot of coffee, I thought more on the fence and also remembered how much limbs and sticks fell the past several weeks. I think I should also gather all the downed limbs and sticks I can and burn them in the burn pile. There’s a ton of it this year and it’s easier to gather before the grass really starts growing. Our biggest problem here is the wind and today is calm enough to get it going and hopefully get it done throughout the day.

Yeah, I sneaked out early. Betty Lou got up and I could read the excitement on her face oover the Motortrend + channel I had on the TV. I get away with it for about 30 minutes of so and then she begins to take a page out of Rambo's playbook... when he wants attention he has this way of staring at you and stomping his front feet... 
Anyways, the Fortitude was on the filling stand right where I left it yesterday so I topped it off then lodaed up 4 mags. That's where I'm at right now.

All the snow work is done and I have the day to myself and my wife.
The sun is out and today is shaping up to be a very nice day.
From -18 F yesterday to +28 F today.
I plan on going out and enjoying the warmth today.
Who knows...I might even do a little target shooting.

 Good morning everyone, I went to bed at 11:30 PM and I woke up at 3:50 AM, I could not get comfortable to go back to sleep, I was hoping to sleep until 5:40, Oh well.

  It is suppose to rain all day again today so I will find indoor activities to keep busy. The expected high today isn't too warm either, with the nearby snow, it will probably just get to 45°F at my place with 5-8 mph winds. (I know it sounds warm to Tom)
The 5 day is more of the same, then 2 sunny days. This is about as winter as we get around here. It is nice to see water falling out of the sky, but I am ready for some more sun.
