I looked at a couple apple pie liquor recipes and thought it would be a good thing for our Thanksgiving event.   Funny thing is I really not much of a drinker but those recipes got me thinking I'd try it.

It's a very Fall like and holiday season drink however, many people like it year round.
I also make a lemon drop drink for Summer time. It uses fresh lemons and is very refreshing.
Ice is added to cool that one alot faster.

If it clears up and if the mower will start, I'm gonna' mow the yard before I start shooting from the patio.

Well, I did mow the yard - in places, went to lunch and the library and am now on the patio with my red dot HW50S, Colt Peacemaker and Daisy 25 and it's 74°.  I better get to shooting before the rain comes and the temperatures drop into the 30s tonight.

Bunch of hogs showed up at 1am making quick work of my yard until I shot one squealing bloody murder which sent the others fleeing in a panic. Took me until sunset starting from 9am to level out all their destruction with the rake and packing it all down by driving over it with the mower and it's trailer. Good riddance to the one I shot.

7 qts. of beautiful 'happy pie'.
There is 1 full cup of 95ish proof in each qt.
I was worried that the apples would make it cloudy but it did not. We ran the juice through a coffee filter before blending and it came out a clear honey color.
I put 2 of the apple wedges back into one of the jars just to experiment. That will be the last jar enjoyed. 
I'll leave one jar with Sheriff West for letting us use his farm for a jump off point for running the dirt roads tomorrow.

Up at 4am and went through the morning routine.
Watched some Diesel Brothers and the weather. Looks like the rain has all but cleared out.
The rain will keep the dust down on the dirt roads and bring a little fun to the riding. Ditchlines should have some water and mud in them. Off road trails will be fun as well.
I'm just waiting for daylight to get out and check the perimeter. I slept through any kind of the storm so I have no idea how severe it may or may not have been. Rambo usually wakes us if it gets crazy and he didn't. I think it was more like slow and steady rain.
Temps will be low 70's today. 60 right now.
If I know Betty Lou she'll dilly dally and not be ready to go until around noon. I have a few things I can do in the mancave to pass the time.

Looking at Google maps and mapping out some continuous dirt roads. I'll have the cell phone GPS as well.
Looks like we may have to jump or jog over a few hard roads but we should be fine sticking to the berms.

Up at 345 drug my self out of bed at 415. Cleared out my head and chest took meds went to work. Went to quarry shot was canceled as I go there. Went back to the mag to off load class A.  Now off to urgent care to see about this sick I haven't been able to shake the last 10 days.

I was looking at my area on Google Maps last week and noticed that it showed a few "roads" that I know haven't been here since the 1970's at least. The whole roads aren't gone but part of each are, they are dead ends/driveways that Google shows as through roads. I know my neighbor tried to block my dad's driveway/road to the property dad owned but was unsuccessful because the farmer that had the land parcel split sold it to him had registered the access/driveway as a road with the county, so it would never be a landlocked 10 acre parcel.  It is a little strange because there is another unregistered private road adjacent to it that is access to several houses, but there is a dilapidated barb wire fence that separates the two roads, without that fence it would be one wide road. My dad's road was always in better shape after the rainy season and is just a little higher ground. Neither are county or state maintained though and my dad's road goes to just the place he use to own.

Anyway I am sure you already know your area and that Google Maps doesn't have it all right, and I am sure if a "road" was not being used the adjacent land owner could make it disappear fairly easily and it could be unnoticed for years.

My weather forecast is a bit strange today. Yesterday just got to the forecast 66°, today's is forecast to get up to 68° and the Text says "Today's temperature is forecast to be COOLER than yesterday."    68°F is warmer than 66°F, isn't it? LOL

I do know that the Calendar view always randomly switches to surrounding areas of Riverside, San Bernardino, or Palm Springs if I click it, all three have a little different weather than we do. I think whoever enters that text didn't notice that they switched areas on the data they were looking at?

I've always been pretty good at determining direction and finding my way in and out of the woods. We were in Florida a week or so ago and I guess my gps had a hangover or something. She lost her way several times and had us well off track. I shut it off and within 20 minutes or so we were back on familiar roads.
I also have an app called HuntStand. You can bread crumb your trail. It also lists property boundries and who owns them. I pay a $20 per year subscription and it's on my phone, tablet and laptop.  I Googled this morning just to get some loose directional plan.

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! Well into my day already- I got up at 0500, got a haircut, oil change in my van and now I’m at work. I fixed this machine already, so I’m just waiting on a phone call to see if I have another job. If not, I’m going home, the temperatures are dropping and its getting cold already.
