Good morning GTA! It’s Hump Day! Up at 0309 CT. I don’t know why I’m getting up earlier than usual. Having coffee right now. I’ll meet with the guys from Ch**ch at 0600. Then I’ve got a heater element to replace on a drive-thru window air curtain. Not sure what happens after that. Hoping for another good day though. 

John, I'm glad you are getting a break from the nasty jobs!

Thanks David! Apparently it’s Air Curtains all day. And they won’t shut their drive-thru for me to work on them. I put that heater element in, but now the fan is running slow. Real slow, unfortunately I need to access the fan from outside, but the drive-thru was slammed. Had to leave it down til Monday, we have an appointment to shut down the drive-thru. I just pulled up for another air curtain and the drive-thru is slammed. 
Pretty sure my next job is another air curtain. 

So it's curtains for you sir

Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! Up at 0330 CT. We got some rain yesterday and some more is expected today and tomorrow. I’m so grateful for it actually. Today I’m working with one of the new guys, pulling an AC compressor up to the roof. The job is a little more than 2 hours away and I’ll visit the chiropractor first. I’ve got an umbrella and a pop up canopy if we need it. Should be a good day. The price for my rain shelter is that the new guy does all the hard work.

Good morning GTA! Yes it is a Happy Friday! Up at 0550 CDT.  My Sportsmatch mounts that FedEx had misplaced that was supposed to deliver Wednesday will be here today and tomorrow they will bring my D34 that is unless they misplace it as well.

My granddaughters #1 & #2 are spending the weekend with us so that will be a treat.  Granddaughter #1 is in the band and will be playing at their Friday night football game so I'll pick her up at 1100 tonight and then tomorrow she'll have some sort of Band competition from 1300 to 2100 at the school.

Today will be the first day since Monday that it hasn't rained,  I feel like we've been hogging all the rain this summer I'm glad Jshooter71 is getting some finally.

Morning.... going to burn my last 4 hours of vacation this afternoon. I got a guy coming to do the final water hookup for the sink in the bathroom at Killer's and I want to be there.
I hate to think this way but.. this guy has spent the last several days scraping money up to get his boy out of jail. We have moved several of our airguns and tools into the place and I have a bad feeling about anyone in there unsupervised. Even Rambo don't care much for this guy.

Ooooo.  I would definitely think about getting someone else if it were me. He may do more "casing the place out" than plumbing.  May not be him that comes back but one of his friends.  You can be sure that he will share what he has seen with his friends.

Once he is gone today any future unauthorized visits will be recorded via my 12 camera security system and monitored by Rambo, who again, trusts him even less than I do.
Betty Lou and I share the desire to not entertain alot of visitors inside our home. The bar/mancave on the other hand, is a different story. That is where we will entertain invited visitors and it is also highly protected by security systems.
In all reality I am probably blowing this way out of perspective but I am just trying to avoid shooting someone....

I understand.  My father's shop was broken into and $5,000 worth of tools were stolen.  And I'm just extra cautious.

When I was growing up a man came to our house looking for a handout the next day a trolling motor was stolen off our boat that was parked in the garage.

I absolutely despise a thief. We grew up without alot. There was always food on the table and clothes on our backs but we didn't have the luxuries that many other families around us enjoyed. Us kids worked for what we wanted with paper routes, lawn mowing and snow shoveling.
I've worked my butt off to get what we have today and I'm the type person that would give you something you needed if you asked and I had it to spare. But please, don't mistake that kindness for weakness.
Case in point.. a guy borrowed my 16' dual axle utility trailer this week. Yesterday he returned it with one of the side tool boxes laying in the bed of it and the light connector had been drug on the road. I am much the same as you. I once loaned my chainsaw to a guy that returned it broken. It was really messed up so I bought a new one but set it aside. The following year he asked if he could borrow a chainsaw, I said SURE! I loaned him the broken one and said, I never got it fixed after you borrowed it last time, so all you have to do is get it fix before you can use it. That time he didn't bring it back, LOL.  My dad taught me to never loan anything I can't do without.

LOL.... Dad taught me not to loan stuff to family or friends... that way you don't have to feel bad about what means you choose to collect....

Even kids treat borrowed tools like carp so I started collecting cash equal to the cost of new in case they broke it.

2 of my boys now own a broken tool they say was already broken when they got it from me but they somehow got all the work done first. Hmmmm.

Thanks for sending the rain, Brother Dan! We haven’t gotten much, but a whole lot more than we had in awhile. It has cooled down with the overcast skies though. We went from summer to fall like the flick of a switch.

Good morning GTA! It’s Saturday morning and I was up at 0444 CT. We got some more rain last night, it’s quite damp out there. Not raining this morning yet, but hopefully we’ll get some more mid-day. My wife & girls have a couple errands to run about 0900. So I’m going to finally repair my 30 meter target box when the sun comes up, repaint some steel targets and get some shooting in. First, one more coffee. 

Later, I want to help my wife pack up my office. We’re letting the girls split from their shared bedroom and the big kid is moving into my office. Some office stuff is moving into our bedroom, some stuff can be packed for “someday” and some stuff my wife wants me to downsize. I’m not too keen on the downsizing part, though I might trade in my old commercial desk for a nice roll-top desk, she’s been looking for me.

Good morning GTA! It’s Saturday morning and I was up late last night, you might say I didn't get to sleep until early this morning so I slept till 0600 CDT. 

No rain today, it's 69° currently and will reach a humid 85°.   My Diana 34 shows to be on the delivery vehicle and it hopefully will be here around 10 am. With our company this weekend I'm pretty sure I'll have to wait till next week to shoot my new rifle.

We have two granddaughters spending the weekend with us. The older one (15 yo) has band practice from 1pm till 9pm today.

I've always wanted an office or "mancave" but we never seemed to have the room. Our fault I guess, we maintain two guest bedrooms for when the kids visit one of which could be an office me, or it could be a sewing room for my wife.   I'm with you John, I'm not too keen on downsizing either but we're not interested in adding on to the house either so both of us are content with the house as it is.

We've been cleaning out the attic,  I've still got a bunch of stuff that will have to remain up there because I'm not ready to turn loose of it yet.

 Today, Zoey has a Vet appointment for her quarterly inspection, edible restock, and pedicure.
Then off to the Walmart for a new springer, softener salt, and dog bones.
Then comes laundry.. uggghhh. While those loads are churning I will work on the garage organization.

Oh and there is that massive Catalpa limb that needs chain-sawed into pieces.

Meanwhile, Work is calling and I am giving direction remotely.

Later, Squirrel season is open here and me and the Dawg may just go for a walk in the woods. She will "point them out" for me every time.

Good morning GTA! Happy Sunday! Up at 0430 CT. My wife is singing at Ch**ch today, so I have to drop her off early, 0800. Yesterday was Range Day, all day long. We didn’t do anything for moving the office out, but we did do laundry later on. Today, after Ch**ch and lunch will probably be followed by a nap. Our small group is canceled. So I might convince my wife into moving my desk from the office into our bedroom instead of finding another desk. That’d give them some room to work in the office during the week. If they’re not down for that, I’ll find something else to do.

Good morning GTA! I got up at 0430 CDT went into the den to surf GTA and fell asleep in my recliner.  Boy did that little nap feel good.

Yesterday the passenger window in our car went down and would not go back up. So tomorrow that's first on my list tomorrow,  I'll call the auto glass store to get a new window regulator and/or motor. So I guess playing with my new Diana 34 and replacing the pivot screws on two Hatsan rifles will be bump to Wednesday.

We have two of our granddaughters spending the weekend with us and with the window in the car messed up we'll stream Ch**ch services today. (Chance of rain today in the forcast)

Oh and it did rain here yesterday as well.
