Good morning GTA! Up at 0420 CDT. It took so long yesterday to pick up the limbs that Ida had blown down that it was too hot to begin mowing.  I plan on starting this morning as soon as I can. But ..... coffee first.
I'm not sure I'll get through this morning.

Just finished cutting and trimming the yard. Started at 0630 CDT and finished at 1145 CDT.

Just finished feeding the yard zoo, unloaded 500lbs of feed, washed the tractor off, sitting here waiting for it cool down before I tackle mowing the swamp. I guess someday my place will dry out.

It goes the other extreme as well, in 2007 I was able to dig a pond down to 20ft. before hitting water on my property, the house is sitting on that dirt from it. That was also the year I had to put in a deep well because the shallow well that was here before I moved in went dry that summer. This is the wettest I have ever seen this area in 26 years. The last super severe drought in this area was 1998 to 2001.

Currently it is 103 and 12% humidity at my place. 74 degrees and 47 percent humidity in the house with the evaporative cool.

Fall has arrived and the days are noticeably shorter.
I had to replace a spark plug on the lawn tractor today.
There was a noticeable engine miss and the plug was fouled.
I then cut the grass and over seeded areas in my lawn that needed it.
I also have a spindle getting noisy on the lawn tractor.
Tomorrow, after church, I'll pull the mower deck and see if the spindle bearings can be repacked.
If it is to far gone to be repacked then I will order 2 new spindle bearings.

I will put out the Fall fertilizer tomorrow after I am finished with the lawn tractor.
The summer heat is all done here, it barely broke 70F today.
Night time temps are in the low 50"s
It is supposed to be in the mid to low 70's all next week.

Small game season opens Sept 18th.
The 22 cal. Crosman Summit Ranger & the 22 cal. Crosman Redtail are all checked out and ready to hunt.
I need to check out the 25 cal.Hatsan 125, the 22 cal. Walther Talon Magnum, the 22 cal. Hatsan Edge and the 117 cal Hatsan Striker.
I may put the spare 25 cal. barrel back on the Edge, now that I have the 22 cal. Umarex Surge Max Elite. that I won June 18th in the Umarex raffle.

Yep, summer is passing and a young man’s mind turns to thoughts of hunting!  I’ve been inventorying my hunting pellets and polishing the zero on several rifles.  In a couple of weeks I’ll get out my maps and start planning.  I’d like to float the Ochlockonee river this year for the first week of squirrel season.  Good luck to you this season Tom.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0530 CT. It was raining when I got up. Not sure how much we actually got, it started last night, but it didn’t immensely cool things down. It was still 71* when I got up. I hear everyone talking about fall, but it doesn’t feel like fall yet to me. Hopefully it doesn’t get past 85* today. I was shooting the Octane Elite with the trigger job I did a little bit before dinner yesterday and while it felt good, groups were horrible on paper. Something told me to put up the H&N FTTs and try the CPDUM & CPHP and the groups started coming together at 30 meters. After Ch**ch I want to clean the barrel and shoot it some more.

Summer is not quite done with us here yet. Everything was sweating yesterday as we put a full day in cleaning and moving stuff. We began moving some non essentials into the new place. The work on the bathroom is supposed to be done next weekend.
Today will be a rinse and repeat of yesterday.

Good morning GTA! Woke up at 0430 CDT but didn't actually get out of bed till 0515. I almost overheated yesterday.  I cut 5 acres, trimmed around the house, patio, trimmed along the driveway (800' for both sides), trimmed along the street (400'), trimmed around 61 trees, and edged the sidewalks and patio all in 5 hours from roughly 0630 - 1130. I was exhausted and soaking wet when I finished. I didn't lift my finger the rest of the day.

This morning I got out early and blew out the garage, apron, then I blew off the sidewalks and patio where the edger had slung grass and topsoil.
I had silently planned on shooting afterwards but my wife was in the attic and ask that I help her for about  15 minutes putting the 4 ice chest, the propane hot plate, and extension cords back in the attic and she wanted me to help her get some old bags of clothing down.

After all that I decided sit on the patio, put my feet up and drink some more coffee. It's already 78°.

My backyard range (targets, target stands, spinner racks) was put away in preparation for Hurricane Ida, so I'll get those set back up one at a time when needed.

Well, the wife gave me the crud so I’m stove up.  I feel like used food.  She’s getting over it. I’m on day two.  It’s not too bad.  I’ve got lots of good “medication”.
Gonna take another dose of Dr. Sam’s General Specific for Whatever Ails You.  Might sit at the back window and pop spinners if I can work up the gumption.

Sorry to hear you're feeling puny.  I'm glad your wife is getting over it and that you're impoving.
I'm trying to get out of the rush, rush, rush habit. You know before you retire you only have the weekend to finish a project or you have to carry it over to the next weekend.  Old habits are hard to break. I should have divided that into two days.

Found a wire coat hanger wrapped around the shaft of the 0 turn. Got that out and was able to get the mowing done here and Killer's.
My old body is so sore from moving and cleaning.
On top of it all..
Woke up around 6:30 this morning and made coffee... all was normal. Betty Lou got up around 8:15 and went to the kitchen to get the dogs water... no water pressure. WTH? Opened the lower cabinet and heard that familiar sound.... water running... busted pipe. Jumped in the truck and went down to the main and shut it off.
Called the property owner and he sent the boys out to fix it. We were out of water for about 3 hours.
On the way out Ray (the fixer guy) stopped by were I was mowing at Killer's (our new place). I asked Ray if he would like to have a swimming pool. All he had to do was take it apart and haul it away. He jumped all over it. Another project checked off the list.... 
Then we got to talking about moving.
We have a king size 4 post bed. That frame will take up most of the room in the new bedroom. We've decided to ditch that and go with just a frame with no head and foot. Ray asked what we wanted for the big frame. I told him that I have a washer, dryer, fridge, chest freezer and 2 rolling tool boxes to move.... sweet, another project checked off the list....

Used my LED lights on my zero turn tonight (6:30 pm CDT - 8:30 pm CDT) and cut for two hours helping my son with his yard.
