Good morning GTA! Happy Friday! Up at 0530 CT. I’m having coffee with Millie, Chopper didn’t want to get up. I’ve got my chiropractor visit this morning. Yesterday I dumped most of my van on the ground to load it back up a bit better while I was working. Today I’ve got about 1 1/2 hour drive to look at some AC units I haven’t been to in 4 years. I’ll bring my line trimmer and backpack blower, I’m sure it’ll be a mess when I get there.

Good morning..
I decided to take the whole 5 days off that was offered due to the chip shortage.
I have a kitchen wall to paint, a floor to measure and an area rug to shop for and buy for that floor, some 1/4 round to put around a counter top, curtains to measure and buy, security cameras to hang and new mulching blades coming for the z turn. That should pretty much take care of today...

Mornin y’all.  Day three of my four day weekend.  Today is my mom’s birthday.  She is 83 today.  So I’m going to spend the day hanging out with her.  We might take a canoe and go paddle the upper Sopchoppy or we might just jump on the pontoon boat and take a cruise. “There is nothing half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.”

Seriously, I used to keep the 1377 handy when I went fishing.  Now I Like to carry my 2240 and some Crow Magnums. There is an apocryphal story in my family about a great uncle who shot several holes in his own boat with a .32 revolver when a snake crawled in the boat with him. I don’t know if I believe that story but I know my grandfather always kept a .22 pistol in his tackle box.  According to FWC regulations you may openly carry a pistol when engaged in either hunting or fishing.

Yeah, I take a .22LR revolver with me when I go fishing.   If I had  2240 I'd probably take it. I hadn't thought about taking a 1377 or 1322, hmm?

IMO the 1377 is too anemic.  The 2240 with Crow Magnums dispatches snakes with ease and makes short work of bull frogs too.

Home from work watching it rain again, waiting for it to quit so I can unload animal feed. As for the weekend trying to stay away from the out of town mob as much as possible, the boat ramps and beach will be full crazies this weekend. Laundry, some yard work(if I can find a dry spot) and some fishing and crabbing in private places.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CT. Happy Labor Day Weekend! It’s 76* already… Today I plan on doing the trigger job on my Octane Elite. My wife has to work and it’s supposed to get pretty hot here. I’ll drive her to work this morning and then I’d like to shoot some Co2- the QB78D & XS60C while it’s cool(er) then the FWB Sport some. After it gets too hot, probably after lunch, I’ll get to work on the trigger job. It’s supposed to rain tonight and I sure hope it does, and cool things down for tomorrow.

He had a cancellation so it looks like we are camping this weekend after all.

Don't you know it.
We always preferred going camping in the middle of the week to avoid the weekend crowds.  Once we went camping on Labor Day weekend to Gulf Shores, Alabama back when there was a campground on the beach bordering the west side of the state owned pier and park. The beach was so crowded that weekend......we didn't enjoy it; just say it was extremely difficult to keep up with three small children playing in the surf when they were elbow to elbow with people in the water.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0420 CDT. It took so long yesterday to pick up the limbs that Ida had blown down that it was too hot to begin mowing.  I plan on starting this morning as soon as I can. But ..... coffee first.
I'm not sure I'll get through this morning.

Yeah, I get that Carter. I feel that way about the Lakes up here... WAY too crowded and busy with the "Crazy".
 Our Campground is pretty quiet and laid back with big grass lots, even on the big 3, Memorial, 4th, Labor weekends.

Meeting the group at "The Bean" for the weekly bicycle ride, then this afternoon is the "concert on the water".  We'll sailing the 15' boat to that and enjoying the music.

Assemble a .22 B3 from parts I found in the parts bin and cleaned and painted the exterior of the receiver and barrel, cocking lever, trigger and trigger guard and the receiver end cap flat black. And replace the spring and seals. Did the same yesterday with a .177 B3.

Strip and refinish the stock of a 1970's Snow Peak .177 B4-2 under lever. Got two others just like it I rebuilt years ago. Only three like this I ever saw and bought all three. Already prepped all the other parts as I did the two B3's.
