Good morning all!(I will be praying for your friend, John)Busy weekend here. Saturday was my birthday, and one if my guy-friends took me to eat a chicken fried steak at the world-famous Mary's Cafe in Strawn, Texas. This place is out in the middle of nowhere, and at 1600, the placed was already packed, and when we left, there was a line at the door. 😄https://thetexasbucketlist.com/2019/11/the-texas-bucket-list-marys-cafe-in-strawn/Then, I went dancing yesterday afternoon. There is an old dancehall in Fort Worth that gives C&W dance lessons on Sunday afternoons, but after the lessons are over, they have live music and dancing until evening, and i have known a couple of guys in the band for a few years. They are really good....mostly old country music like I grew up on (and hated at the time- because my parents liked it! Lol)
Lol Rick! When you are in Texas, we shall go dancing! 😄
Thanks Dan! It's a treat that I usually only treat myself two once or twice a year. I love it, but there's probably not much on the planet that is worse for your health. LOL

I am just not saying chicken fried steak is junk food though.another Dan...

If you ever get to Utah, to Kanab (north rim GC visit), go to Houston's Trail's End Restaurant for the best CFS I've ever tried at a restaurant, and trust me, I've had that all over including Texas and Oklahoma. Breakfasts are fantastic there, and Kanab's a good base of operation for a north rim canyon visit.

Thank you for your prayers, Jerry (Tater). Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. Thank you all for your prayers. Last night we got John Houchins on the zoom call. There were about 12-14 of us on the call with him and throughout the call a couple more would join and a couple would have to go. I stayed for an hour & a half, I would say for the time that I spent with them about 20 of us shared our time with him. He’s not doing too good, his kidneys and liver are failing, but he was responsive and able to talk. We’re going to keep checking in on him and we have one guy that’s in his state, Minnesota, that’s going to visit him this week. Hopefully, he can pull out of this. Again, thanks for your prayers.Yesterday I did get to shoot quite a bit, it started raining about 1700 hrs, and still is today. Today I’ve got a cooler leaking water as my first call, so I’ll be inside. I’m back on call this week, but next week I’m taking a 4 day weekend, staycationing.
