Ok ok, I’m up, I’m up... good morning GTA! Spring is here... summer’s coming. I got in from work at 2215 CDST and had dinner. Don’t know what time I fell asleep, but it was quick. And I got up at 0630. Having coffee and I’m going back out to do it again. Just about got 40 hours already and I’m on call this week.

Lots of stuff on the menu today to prepare for our 3 day adventure at the RV/ATV park this weekend beginning tomorrow. Fortunately Betty Lou will do most of the food prep and RV stocking/packing while I'm at work today. We took the list and did the shopping last night. we have a small white board in the RV with a list of the essentials... we learned from past experiences... 
Looking forward to this one.... the weather promises to be perfect for this type of outdoor adventure. Mud runs, bonfires/camp fires and outdoor cooking. And with the recent wet weather, the mud will be the high light.

I’m off work for 6 days starting yesterday.

Plan for today is to wash some gutters and fascia on the house, weed and rake a gravel area and possibly see if I can motivate the kids to edge and mow the yard.  I need to wash my truck but I’ll do that AFTER the yard has been mowed because of all the dust it stirs up.

I’m planning on taking my wife out to lunch or dinner for Thai food. 

I also plan to get some trigger time in there too.  I hope to shoot many different airguns today even if it’s only 10 shots through each.  I will have to pump up the PCPs beforehand..... 💪🏼💥

Too bad the Vietnamese restaurant where I usually frequent is still closed for dine in.

I always go there together with a Filipino-Hawaiian lady coworker.

The other ladies always give us questioning looks when they see us together, lol!

I dunno but ladies who are much older than me seem to give me that kind of longing look, lol again!

This Thai restaurant is really tasty!  I only had leftovers from there once before when my wife and daughter went out one evening.  Ever since then I HAD to go eat there.  Today was the day. 

We ordered spring rolls (fried), crispy garlic chicken wings, mango fried rice with chicken, green curry with tofu and a vegetable mix with tofu and brown rice.  I enjoyed a Thai coffee with the meal.  I never had Thai coffee before.  I prefer Vietnamese coffee, at compared to the one I had today.  Certainly not bad but I prefer my coffee stronger and not so creamy.  It was a fantastic meal!  I’ll post over in the “food” thread too.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0500 CDST. It’s Friday, woohoo! But I’m on call, so I may have to work this weekend. Hopefully not, since the weather is nice and Sunday is Easter. But this morning I have to see the chiropractor, I missed last week. It’s been a rough couple weeks, hopefully I can stand fully upright afterwards. After that I have a decent size PM to do at the mall. 3 units- filters, belts, coil cleaning & all that. Thankfully, I’m pretty close to water, should be less than 300’ of hose. Also, I’ve been burning that big hollow stump since the day after we cut those trees down. Yesterday, after work, I cut the other 5 down almost flush to the ground. Hopefully, after work today, I’ll cut what remains of the hollow stump flush and burn it one more time. I may drill holes into the other stumps, or not. Either way, they’ll then be ready for top soil & grass seed.

Good morning GTA! Up at 0545 CDST. It’s Good Friday, and cold.  My oldest daughter and her family left Wednesday evening on their back home in Memphis for a quick stop stop over before heading to Martin, Tennessee to visit with Andy's (her husband) mother & father.

Andy's brother Lloyd is in the hospital with Covid. This is Lloyd's second time to have Covid and this time it's much much worse.

It's ironical especially since he's been so sceptical about the getting a vaccination. He was sure since he had already had Covid that his body had developed antibodies and he didn't need to get vaccinated.  We are praying that he will get better but he's still going down. He's 65, was very active, with no health problems. Scary indeed.

Morning comes at 4 am almost everyday now, no matter how late I stay up.
17 this morning, hopefully the last of it as it will be in the 60s and 70s  this weekend.

I mysteriously hurt my back last week. Dint lift anything or make a false move that I can remember. Couldn’t sit, stand or lay down, and certainly the transition from one to the other was not good. Not quite kidney stone pain level, but very painful.

Needless to say there has been no shooting of any kind since last week. Mostly better now, with the exception of sitting. Crying over.

Good weather this weekend and the plan is to get all my turkey hunting gear together. Headed to new turkey hunting land this year. It’s the same place I deer hunt in MN, North and west of Firewalker.

It amazes me the comeback these birds have made. As a young one growing up in MN, a wild turkey was like an old wives tale. Now they parade around our deer stands taunting us. The can clearly see me in my stand and don’t care. It’s like they know they are not the quarry.

I am sure it won’t be like that on the turkey hunt, or maybe these birds haven’t had much pressure? I will be much more hidden.

Tomorrow while the boss is prepping for Easter brunch, I should be able to get some actual out door shooing done, neighbors permitting of course.

Started going to the office two days a week, soon to be full time, unless of course #19 puts an end to that.

I achieved my goal of shooting my HW95 as accurately as my 30! But that’s because I put a Vortek kit in the 30 which made it a little snappier, and a lot quieter. At 3,500 shots it got really noisy. I have less than a 100 shots through it so far. It will settle in time.

That’s all I have for now.

Good morning folks.  It is a truly beautiful day here in Margaritaville!  I'll be cleaning the campground bathrooms today and servicing the waterless urinals.  Then I have my choice of not one but TWO major septic tank/lift pump repairs.  I'm talking full hazmat suit.  So the next time you are at a local park, please give the Park Ranger a big atta boy!  Cause this is what we do.

I make sure I cook enough on the fire pit so our "hosts" can get some when they make their rounds.
