What about a Walther 14.5”?  I think that's a good length.

I looked at this but i would need to buy a new barrel band and the price was breaking the budget haha

That's one of the many good things about being single is freedom where the kitchen and the shop are both mine to do as I please whenever I want.

Good Morning GTA! Up at 0400 CST. Having coffee and let the dogs out. The weather man and the radar say snow, but I’m seeing light rain right now. No work scheduled yet but they’ve been doing that to me lately. Then I call or they call me and I go in to work. It’ll pickup in a month or so and I’ll have more work than I want.

Good morning GTA.  I'm up, woke up at 0300 CST fell back asleep till 0405. Those minutes felt so good. I could hear the rain falling. Good news is it's supposed to clear up by noon, BUT the wind........NNW @15 gust to 23. Probably no shooting again today.

We are taking Lorelei to school this morning then dropping by for curbside pick up of a few groceries.

Good morning GTA! -3F this morning, made coffee, gotta run out and fill the wood boiler then its off to work and interview for a new position.

Two books of note for anybody to read (easy reads with short chapters) are "Fearless Leadership" by Carey Lohrenz, the first female F-14 Tomcat combat pilot and "Its your ship" by Michael Abrashoff, captain of the Benfold, the worst ship in the fleet and how he took her to the best ship in the fleet.

Good Morning All.

It's -2F today with a slight 5 mph N wind.
The high today is supposed to be around +10F
The wind chill factor right now is -12F.
The auger drive belt that I ordered for my vintage 1969 Gilson Snow Blower arrived yesterday.
I drove into town and picked it up.
Today I will be working out in the garage installing that belt plus some others things to do out there.
I turned the furnaces on out in the garage and my back room work shop.
I set the thermostats to a balmy +55 degrees F.
I am going to eat breakfast then head out for todays work.

15 this morning. Glad all the snow is cleared as the temps dropped before dinner, freezing everything. Some of my neighbors didn’t do much and are paying the frozen consequences.

David, I have been  through McGregor so many times on our way north. Beautiful country, oh I miss the homeland.

More work from home today. Getting more than a little stir crazy. Cabin fever affects me more as I get older. Glad to have job and may end up back in the office in the next month or so depending on Governor Flintstone of course.

The last time I went back to the office in June, I was one of very few which left me wondering why am I here?

Maybe I will shoot some today. Maybe I will go for drive at lunch, I don’t know.
I’m bored. That is a bad thing when fighting airgun fever.

Airgun fever, very serious. One minute I want an inexpensive 25 springer, and the next moment I have a Daisy 499b in my cart.

Yes, I better go and shoot what I have to clear my head.

Me too, always thinking about buying and projects and forgetting to "want what I have".

Did some research on Nutria hunting and will follow through with driving out of town and knocking on some doors to get permission.

The Missus is doing Zoom meetings, in the dining room by the fireplace, this morning and I am better off leaving the house. Good excuse to go driving and shooting. Gonna take the generator and compressor with me.

Sorry for all you folks with wicked COLD and snow!

My wife hails from Oregon, I was blown away by the Nutria takeover at what used to be a duck pond in Roseburg. Nastiest thing I ever saw, not just the creatures, but what they do/did to the environment. Two hunts I would love to participate in if I can ever get out of the HVAC grind: Nutria in the PNW and Iguana in South Florida. I could seasonally hop, summers NW, winters SE, hunt all year if I could financially pull it off.

I like your dream travel hunting scenario especially the iguana in sunny warm Florida!

Funny thing is they are invasive, plentiful, State wants them gone but it's tough to find a place to shoot them, dangit. They are wicked UGLY and do significant damage. There's a grass seed farm, golf course and a slow moving river south of 20 miles and I am gonna try to get a permission today.

Better to leave the house than make noise during the Zoom meetings!!!!!! I forget about the meeting and start running power tools. duh

Pretty sure in the city of Roseburg they were. From what I heard, they’re not indigenous to the USA, they were imported for their beaver like fur and have exploded in numbers. I think they’re from South America, like a jungle beaver-rat.

Yup, jungle beaver rat is a good description. No nonnative species should be protected for any reason that I know.

It's temperate here in the Willamette Valley / Portland area and they do fine. There are at least 6 of them in the park by my house.

Good morning GTA plans are to stay in today still snowed it. Took Grader yesterday to get us out and we are looking at a few more inches of snow here in the next few days, i already have 2 feet or more of snow on the ground. No airgun shooting outside for this guy. So its back to working on the indoor 1377. Ordered a 18" barrel and barrel band for it so i can improve the accuracy some. Anyone want some snow? Posted some pictures of below.

We are actually on the south tip of Mille Lacs, a 10 mile long procession of Ice Castles choke us out every Friday so we just head to the state parks for snowshoeing if my wife tires of our property.
