Good Morning GTA! I slept in until 0440 CST. Last night I stayed up a bit later than usual watching the second half of The a Empire Strikes Back & the first half of Return of the Jedi. I don’t usually do that, but they’re favorites from my childhood. After Ch**cc I’ll have my buddy over to shoot some air rifles and talk about his upcoming first air rifle purchase. Should be fun, it’s already 47* and supposed to get to 54* 5-7mph wind from the south. Having coffee now, let the dogs out and reading for a bit. Have to figure out what’s for lunch, we don’t have guests often.

 Plans to go visit Mom after "virtual church" and then be home in time to watch the Packers play.

Winter storm warning! Looks like about 8" with 30 mph winds, so it'll be drifting. This'll be a shovel twice storm because of the wind and I've got a 2 car driveway about 100' long. My back is starting to complain already! Looking on the positive side, I just put a new set of tires on my Grand Cherokee, this'll be a chance to see how they work in the nasty. Although retiring after an even 40 years of teaching my wife still substitute teaches regularly. She has a long term set up for 2 weeks with the 5th grade class here in town starting tomorrow. When she subs, I pick up the slack with cookin' supper, laundry, etc. I already have a 2 week menu set up for supper every night.    Heavy on the deer meat, we got some we need to use up.
Deer stew, chili, goulash, meat loaf, etc., etc......

My plan is mostly complete, 200 round through the HW95 this morning. Now my work crew has taken over the range staining boards.

Snowmobile? Oh man those were the days. My back hurts just looking at it!
Is that a Hirth or a CCW? The fan shroud tells me not old Kawasaki used in 1975 and older Cats. Could be a Sachs.
Brings me back to my drag racing days. Clutch ramp grinding and gearing won a lot of races. When in doubt, lean it out! Lol

Up just now.  Put coffee on,  brought ribs out of the refer to sit on the counter until time to put in the oven.  Mrs made baked beans yesterday and we will make some cornbread today to go with the ribs and beans.  Dessert is buttermilk pie and flan.  Iced tea to help it all down.

Gonna grab a cup of java now and go rob a scope and mounts off the 77k to try on the new 30S.

Thanks Johnny, I’m kind of a Native American history buff. No, she won’t be running today because I’m waiting on new intake rubber flanges so I can bolt the carbs up. They should be here tomorrow and yes, we do have a little snow with more in the forecast tonight into tomorrow.

Scott, it’s a Fuji 488 fan cooled out of a Polaris. I don’t have the whole fan shroud bolted up yet. Sachs was a pretty popular engine in a lot a early seventies sleds. My first dirt bike (Penton 100) had a Sachs engine. Fast little bike but it had about five neutrals !

Today I think I will head into the woods and mark out trees to cut and maybe clean up some brush and dead trees.   I also want to remove huge trees that could blow over and damage buildings.  More importantly, I'm making a new backyard range at the same time.   I haven't decided how long it will be.  Depends on my energy level.  50yds, 75 yds, 100 yds,  more?   This could be a long project.

My wife is Osage Indian and we have lots of American Indian art, I like it all.

Sounds like you had to hit each shift just right.

If you know how a shifter on a bike is, there probably was a neutral spot between each gear.
