Today ... finish setting up our NEW smart phones.  Wife & I too this time have been rejecting Cel phone tech and not wanted a pocket toy smart phone.
Well with Texting, GPS and Browser requirements getting more all the time .... BIG SIGH, made the choice to no longer buck the evolution of pocket phones giving up our beloved Flip Phones.

Had been with Verizon over 30 years ( Actually AIRTOUCH prior )  2 Flips were costing us @ $65 a month and NO DEAL was there to upgrade w/o a major cost increase.

T-Mobile has a Senior over 55 plan that prompted the change.  2 FREE Samsung Android A71 5G phones, Unlimited data and text ... $70 total per month on a 2 year contract with no extra fee or charges !!

The Luddite says "You'll be sorry!"  I refuse to join the modern world.  Why should I own a cell phone when every one else has one that I can borrow?  And they give me this computer at work!  Free internet, free phone calls!  That's my kind of a deal!  Don't surrender to the man! I will crawl back under my rock now.

LOL .. O' I hear you !!  Sadly borrowing cel phones is not an option.

Sad fact becomes ( have confirmed this ) that older simple phones that use far less band width on frequencies that are old tech GO TO THE BOTTOM of the priority list for service providers.  This has your once great coverage degrade, dropped calls like crazy where years past solid.  In the last couple years we've never been so frustrated on what we got for service, upgrades on phone for what we were being charged.

You/We can only LIVE under a rock or in our caves for so long.   As to all the APPS ... turned 90% of them off !     PHONE, TEXTING, GPS & Select Browsing access is all we really want or need from a pocket device.  All the "Play & Toy and PAY" functions we'll leave to a younger crowd and those who want them.

It came to my attention that a well known Mod Team might be providing a Pirated version in their Mod download.
I did my forensic work and proved that they are in fact doing just that!
They attempted to hide tell tale traces but forgot you can't hide some things from me.

I survived the recon run at Mt. Creek Adventure Park in Abbeville, Al.
Ran into a large group from Georgia and tagged along with them.
Got there at 9am and left at 1pm. Had a great time playing the mud, river, woods and climbing the hills.
Next time I'll take the RV and the whole rig.

 Looks like we got about 4" of heavy snow last night after Friday's Ice storm.. Trees were crashing down all night long.

Thanks, all three of us kids wanted it. My father gave me his guns, his 1971 Jeep CJ5, and his pocket watch a year before he died. My sister's didn't know this till after he passed away. My oldest sister was NOT happy.  LOL

I keep my father's watch on the table next to my recliner.  It requires my attention every day and reminds me of my father every day. He was my hero, my best friend and I miss him.

Good morning GTA! That is a neat heirloom timepiece to have Dan! Hopefully, the damage is minimal Scott, that storm went by us north-by-northeast bound. We had some pretty good snow & flurries and it was cold, but didn’t stick. We got mud & lots of it. We’re going to stream Ch**ch on the big screen in the living room once more. It’s supposed to get to 50* with a 9 mph wind from due south. Hopefully I’ll shoot some after 1300 hrs. Tomorrow is a workday & the girls go back to school. Hopefully, maybe the rest of the school year will be a little more back to normal.?.

Thanks John. The watch was not working when I received it, I had Pam's cousin who is a jeweler fix it, but he found that it only needed a good cleaning.

We will ZOOM our Bible Fellowship class today and we will be streaming worship service as well.

This afternoon especially around 1600 it shows to be sunny with the temps around 56° and winds at 3 mph.     So maybe......
