My dump trailer's power box has a small water leak in rain so I fixed the metal lid by bending the lips of each corner in a little bit with a wrench to get rid of the open gaps stopping the leak, then I cut a board to fit between the box and battery as a spacer to prevent the battery from sliding forward into the charger or backward into the pump reservoir. Got a lot of other work done too.

My friend does most of it. Just European skull mounts. So we just get the skull completely clean from meat and such and whiten up the skull.

I didn't sleep to well, I received some really exciting news yesterday.  Ever since I got into airguns a few years back I have wanted a GOOD German air rifle. But as I told my son years ago, you need to learn to walk before you can run.

He didn't heed that advise but to each his own. He wanted to learn to play golf and needed a set of clubs. I told him that my first set was made by Wilson, not expensive but good enough to see if I  enjoyed the sport. I told him to check the pawn shops and classified,  the board at the club house where members put notices of clubs for sale.  Nope, what did he do? He ordered the best clubs that PING offered. They were beautiful but my question to him was after you learn how to play, and when you want to upgrade to a nicer set you can't you're there already. You're missing out on that dream of owning the best, anyway he  beat those clubs up learning how to play, scratched heads etc, and sure enough after the first year he was ashamed of his clubs and wanted a new shinny set. My point is have a goal, learn, grow in your hobbie, enjoy the journey. 

Good news, a gift... unwarranted,  undeserved ...would be coming my way. That was what was in a PM from a member here that came yesterday while I was on the phone. Too excited to sleep.

Today, my plan is to shoot my 460. Looks like 7 mph winds, temp at 47°, and partly cloudy skies will have to do.

CDT or CST, still don't know. Looked up what time zone it is for MS and says CST and looked up current time. The Google reported time was off by 20 minutes from my computer AND cell phone. I give up.

I started with Walmart clubs that the owner, friend and good golfer, told me were really not that great. Great instruction from him and lots of observation gave me a very good start in golf. Equipment sometimes is overrated... put Lance Armstrong on 70's Schwinn Varsity with flat tires and he'll still beat 99% of the world.

Looking forward to see what the PM surprise is!

As far as the PM surprise, all I can say is patience grasshopper.

Howdy. I do the bacon thing too. Take some fat and cut it up really tiny then make mush with it in vegetable oil. Rats, cats and coons all show up.

Last three days I've gotten video of three different cats sniffing around the PB. I am definitely a DOG PERSON but I wish these neighbors would take better care of their pets, we have lots of coyote here. The "Missing Cat" signs are weekly in this neighborhood and they can all be found in coyote stool.

Good Morning GTA! I slept in til 0520, don’t know why, I must’ve needed it. My youngest daughter still has 2 more days of school, so after this cup of coffee I’ll get her up & ready. Then I’ll get back to the GTA & another cup & get my day started. Even though I’m on vacation, I still plan to get my inventory done, here at home, at my own pace.

Much of the snow is still here! It’s 23* right now, yesterday it only got to 30*. It’ll get to 45* today and even warmer Friday, so by then it’s probably going to be a muddy mess.

Pretty crunchy right now I suspect. The after mess is worse than slippery stuff. My yard is a mess from all the rain and I try to not even walk in it.

Cool. You guys boil the skulls to remove the meat, use beetles or both?

Some of my trails were overgrown with saplings branching out into the trails blocking them so I cut the limbs off with the tractor's loader and bulldozed other saplings out of the ground where now the trails are open enough to pass through them without getting slapped in the face by branches. Finally had a 50ft high widow maker fall into the yard so got that all loaded up and hauled off into the woods too.

Yes we boil them then scrape the rest of the meat and cartilage off the bone. Then there's a few more steps involved til it's white and good looking. Time consuming process. Some pictures below.

Plan to shoot some target practice with the gauntlet. And probably stay inside and talk on the radio. Taking it easy for next few days. Got a few projects around the house to finish. Maintenance never ends out in the country haha. Gotta fix the door to the mini pig shed.

Good morning,  T.G.I.F. Up at 03:36 cst.
If the weather is nice I'm going to give Hector's tip on target bullseye shapes/sizes a try.

He explained to me that the 1/2" bullseyes on the targets I designed are not helping me at 50 yds because the width of the reticle of my Hammers scope is too wide.

I had that feeling yesterday as I was having difficulty seeing the Bullseye behind my reticle.

Thanks Hector for the tip. 

My first task this morning....find a suitable paper target out of my stash of printed targets that will work with my scope.

The three file boxes below contain half my targets, the other half is outside in my range box. That will have to wait till daylight.
