My taipan is the first side lever gun and I do like it a lot and will likely try and make sure the next purchase has side lever. I have no business buying another gun besides an Elk rifle...... maybe a 300 super mag... i LOVE BOOM and wish I hadn't sold my 50bmg

I shoot a friend's 50 bmg and 300 Super Mag but I enjoy his custom 338 Lapua Magnum the best.

John so from New Jersey > upstate NY > Arkansas; that's quite a climate change and cultural change I bet. I  was raised a quarter mile from where I live now.

Oh no, I lived in a lot more places than that. I went to 4 different elementary schools, 4 different high schools- bounced back & forth between NJ & Florida. Went all over during my time in the military- 5 of those years I was in Alabama, 2 years in Virginia, plus other stateside assignments & overseas assignments, but deployed several times all over the world. Johnny Cash & I been everywhere. I’ve been in Arkansas since 2010, longest I’ve ever been in one spot, only 1/5th of my life.

Are you happy with that camera's night vision? Any delays in phone alerts or are they near instant as advertised?

Good Morning All. Ratting and reading this morning, as usual.

I checked out early last night and didn't look at GTA. The night vision is quite good but I have a red LED overhead so it doesn't matter. The time from me waving my hand in front of the camera, and receiving an alert on my Android,phone, is under 4sec and closer to 2 sometimes. I got a $20 wifi booster, point of access, and placed it outside closer to the cam and that is all working great.

It's all about wifi proximity. Our modem / router is in the far back bedroom of the house because that's typically our office so it wasn't ideal for the front or backyard. When motion is detected is has to continue for x number of seconds for a device to record a 10sec video. I delete those daily.

Not a bad price at all. Nice video too. Hard to tell how far the night vision is good with it on the ground but up close it looks real good.

Got a lot of shopping done today. Feels good to be off the roads out of the rain.

Sounds a lot like my childhood, I went to 7 elementary schools 1 middle school and two High Schools. I lived in eight states and we travel to 42 states Canada and Mexico. Since I have been on my own I have live only in California Missouri and California again though. The retail Chain I worked for had me work in 14 different stores over the 42 years but 12 of those were within a distance of less than 45 miles, yes that chain dominates our area.

Morning! Started my morning at 04:00 CST. First thing I saw this morning on GTA were two of Steve's gorgeous Sheridans. Followed by probably the most unique cutting board I've ever seen crafted by our own bReTt. Wonder what marvels will see next.

Up at 0415, both dogs wanted out. Had one cup of coffee, making a second. It’s only 26* outside, I have 2 units with easy heat repairs to do and then I should be on vacation (stay-cation) til the 28th. The trigger Dan sent me may show up today, another reason to be excited, I’m hoping to shoot some, we’ve got a couple near 60* days coming before Christmas!

Well my plans to shoot today may have to be postponed again.  It's 46° now with 99% humidity.  Only going to warm up a tad but the kicker is the wind. Forecasted for NNW @ 12-15 mph with gusts to who know what!

I'm pretty sure that's going to hinder achieving any tight groups at 50 yards.

I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna walk the property line trying to find a bushytail to take my frustration out on.

Weapon of choice today.......hmm.
