Thanks Keith.. I had planned to run  it through the paces today to test the reseal but that dang stove and the frozen pipes got in the way. Now it will need to wait another couple days while I deal with this stuff and the temps come back up. Then the weekend will most likely be busy helping get ready for Killer's thing at the barn.

I didn't really say that you leaving your damper closed in the shop triggered my brain about my ash pale I left in my shed on wood.  All was well.  The bottom of the pale was just warm, but you probably figured that out.  Yes, the snow is too deep to run around outside to shoot in.  Plus, the cold makes for miserable shooting fun.  It won't last but another day or two and then we will be back in the 60's.  I don't think you are too far from me.

Yep, only a couple hours north of you here straight up 29. If you and I ever did and dealings it would be an easy meet in the middle and save all that packing and shipping garbage. 

I would like to get out and stretch my legs and come see your place and sling some lead someday.  That would be good times for me.

I moved from Nashville to Pensacola and thought I was done with the snow.  That's what I get for thinking or not thinking.

I wondered where you had gone.  Nashville has been so down since you left.  Everybody asking "Where's Keith?"

LOL.  I don't know about that.  Sorry we never hooked up on a squirrel hunt together while there.  I lived there some 33 years and had a nice setup with Percy Priest Lake right out my backyard where I could shoot and fish most anytime I wanted.  However, mama needed me, and the good Lord told me and my wife to move and go take care of her after my stepdad passed away.  She was fine, so to speak when we arrived but soon after was diagnosed with cancer and now is bedridden and living with us.  It is challenging but I feel so blessed to be able to take care of her.  It's funny how the good Lord works.  He knew what was coming.

Prepped the Avenger for the Buck Rail Tactical kit coming Monday. Took the stock, fore arm clams and barrel band off. Those parts will get bagged and boxed and put up on the shelf.
I have that gun tuned for 35 yds and shot count. I might see what I have in slugs and see crank the power up and see what I can get out of it. If I can find something that works in it I may have to see if I can find a mold. My max range is 45yds so it ain't like I'm trying for NUAH..  Right now I have the reg set at 2100 but I don't remember where the hammer spring is.

I got the Buck Rail conversion kit for the Avenger today and sat down to put the gun back together.
Wait, something is missing here.. no stock tube. So I went back to the site to see if the tube had to be ordered separately. Nope... it should have come with the butt stock.
So I called and talked to Julie. She looked up the order and instantly took the blame. She said she packed the order and forgot to put the tube in the box. She apologized and said she would send one right out.
Seemed like as soon as I hung up the phone I got email confirmation of the order. So I guess the Avenger build is on hold for a few more days.

LOL... I knew you were.

So I went out in the shop this morning and put the parts on the gun that I did have. I put the pica rail on the MLok fore grip rail for the bipod and front grip handle and got that on the lower tube. I put the AR grips on the frame and got that on. All I need is the stock tube and I can get into retuning the gun.
I originally had the gun set up for shot count but I think I'm going to bump the power up some.. maybe even see if I can do some slug shooting with it.

Thought I would fill the gun as all I have left to do is put the stock tube on when it arrives. The gun had been sitting degassed since last I worked on it. I connected it to the Yong Heng and turned on the compressor. Strangely the gauge would not go passed 3k.
I bled it and shut it down. I listed carefully all up and down the gun and I could hear the very faintest of hissing. But I could feel it one the front end of the short tube. I took the tube off and wrestled the front end cap off. At first I couldn't even see an oring... looked like a hard plastic collar.
I got it off with a pocket knife and it only cost me one slice on my index finger.    A wrap of black electric tape and I was good to go. 
I used the chart that came with the oring kit to find and replace the oring and put the gun back together.
The gun aired back up as normal and I could no longer hear the leak anywhere. I checked the gauge with a lighted magnifying glass and let the gun sit for 2 hours. I rechecked it and it was right when I left it.
I should probably change the oring on the long tube as well. I didn't because these little caps are hard to get off.

Checked after a couple more hours and the needle is still sitting at 300 bar.. right where I filled it to.

The grub screw kit arrived today so I did this simple 2 screw upgrade and it is great.
I followed this guy's instructions.


It's so adjustable. You'll be able to set your trigger exactly how you like it.

As y'all may or may not already know, I installed the Buck Rail tactical kit on my .25 Avenger. Major transformation.
My next planned upgrade should be a game changer....
I have another long tube coming. I'm going to replace the lower short tube with the longer one. As it stands I get 6 12 shot mags on the reg. Shot count should increase by another 25% which should net me around 90 accurate 35 fpe shots with my cast 27.4 gr pellets.

Bill, that's over 3,000 fpe in the reservoir,  just how big is it?
M-Rods with 13 cubic inch / 215 cc tank can get 1,600 FPE with the 40-40 tune.
Is that a 420 cc tank?

Stats say the stock gun is 180cc with 4351 max psi. and like I said, I get 6 12 round mags (72 shots). I double checked my spreadsheet and I misquoted the FPE, It's actually 32 and change.
The larger 2nd tube will add 25% more capacity so I just added 25% to the shot count. I suppose we'll find out once it set up and running.
Not sure what the regulator capacity is.
