Thanks, guys! Another episode of being gifted to me (2 of them) not working, and I had to figure out how they come apart and go back together.
While the outside clam shell looks like 760, it is quite different on the inside. One of them had been apart before, and had odd screws/ cracks etc.
Enough good parts between the two.

I mounted an antique JD King full Buckhorn back sight on my 3rd model Crosman 1400. It has an adjustable rear sight notch with four different notch sizes and the ability to drift the notch slightly to either side for fine windage adjustments. The whole sight moves for gross adjustments. It's an old sight I rescued from my great uncle's Mauser Gew 98 when I put scope mounts on the Mauser. I Don't know when Uncle Ira put the back sight on it but it was probably around a hundred years ago. The elevator is missing so I made a quoin out of some scrap so I could test it. IMO the sight picture is clearer and accuracy is improved over the factory irons. I can order a reproduction elevator from Numrich for $7.00 so that is the next step.

Completed the restoration of my latest acquisition and took it out for first shoot. There's nothing flimsy in the design/build of these rifles. Top quality American made and well worth the price. Not really that difficult to repair. This one is getting 600fps with 5 pumps and is inherently accurate.

How accurate is yours ?
Mine is an okay plinker on pop cans but overall accuracy isn't really much to write home about I don't think.
It's been awhile since I put it on paper.

I put a dozen 8.64gr H&N FTT through my Crosman 2100. Recently tuned to 730 fps at twelve pumps. It's a pleasant gun to shoot when my shoulders are bothering me because it's so easy to pump. Darned accurate too!

Too early to really tell, but I hit a 2" spinner at 20 yards with a 7.9gr CPHP after 5 or 6 shots of trying to figure out my hold...

The previous owner had the rear sight shifted way to the left so I had to adjust that back to the center.

Hopefully get it on paper next week.

Shot my crosman 100 a bunch this weekend. Mostly at a metal squirrel target. Shot it alternating with my dragonfly with daisy diopter peep.

The dragonfly likes 2 pumps. The crosman 100 likes 4 pumps. About the same noise and accuracy with spitzkugels.

I cooked a couple of chickens in the smoker this evening. I sat in the back yard tending the fire, sipping rum, and plinking with the Crosman 2200.

Older Benjamin 310,1 piece hollow bolt, screws hold forearm.

After removing the pump I found the original Hy-car cup head, which is NLA, and crud, lots and lots of crud! I removed most of the gunk and reassembled for an old school kero flush. No surprise, it still had a lot of leakage past the cup! Since this was supposed to be a winter project rifle, I added a little 30w to the felt oiler and set it on the rack.

That was a couple weeks ago after bringing it home. Not sure why I grabbed it off the rack yesterday but when I cocked the bolt and fired, there was a small blast of air! So I exercised the pump and it was building pressure! I repeated this several more times with good results. Pumped it twice, and put it back in the rack, to see if it held over-nite.

Success! 4 pumps sends a 7.7gr lead ball over the chrony at 500+ fps. 5 pumps is 550+ but retains air.
