Something shortly after happened that changed many things. All I can say is our way of life as we know it is being threatened. So I probably won't get to shoot as much as I had planned on in the near future but that's life.

I'm happy to report it was shooting pretty good in some 20mph winds but wasn't doin anything too serious just feeling the gun out. The guns shooting the Hades at 970-980fps which was what I had with me when I had the Chrony out to get a quick baseline. Noise wise I thought it was shooting about 850fps and that I needed to crank the speed up. Lol nope. I like the trigger good 2 stage and light, cocking is nice and smooth. The shot cycle is very tame as someone has mentioned before essentially dead.

My main use for this gun will be slugs though and long range pesting. I'm going to pull the barrel and slug it then I got lots of different NSAs to try through it. Also different sizers to size to the barrel. That's kinda where I'll be going next with the gun. But it does shoot pellets very well, JSB 18gr, Hades and 16gr AAs. Also Edgun 18gr which are made by JSB which was all I put through it.

I hope you get to enjoy your Raptor Mini more sooner than later. She is beautiful and I really love the large gauges for the pressures! Hope to get my in-house regulator soon!

I appreciate it all who have responded. Family is ok what's being threatened is our dairy. That's all I can really say but yeah we don't know what the future holds for it and us but we're just gonna keep moving forward.

I feel for you Dillon. I watched a news report about dairy farms shutting down in the U.S. at an alarming rate and thought immediately of your family. It was really sad to see those farms that the show highlighted that had been in the family for 30 to 40 years or more shutting down. I guess the new generations doesn't drink milk or eat cereal much anymore. The cereal companies are really struggling as well.

I do prefer almond milk myself these days, sorry. My wife still drinks milk though.

I know you'll get to the Raptor when you can. God first, then family, then guns...

Well, I'm doing my part... I drink a gallon of whole milk every 2 - 3 days by myself. I buy 2 gallons every trip to the store. Heck, I drink milk with pizza even.

Milk-drinker here, but my passion is cheese. Nothing beats a good extra-sharp cheddar or a wholesome smoked gouda.

Thanks all I really appreciate the support!

So today had a little time to mess with it and decided to pull the barrel and inspect it, slug it and then clean it. Very easy to do so, just remove the tension nut and pull the shroud off and then loosen the 3 set screws on top of the barrel and pull it out. Very simple and no orings to get messed up! So barrel pulled I looked through it and found a nice smooth looking bore, 6 lands and 6 grooves. Pushing a 28.5gr NSA through the bore was difficult but I knew these bores run tight and wanted good engagement for accurate measurements. Smooth the whole way and no tight or loose spots. And so the measurements I got were .209/.214 which is what I expected. My .214 sizing die should be here on Friday from Lee so should work good. I then cleaned the barrel and only took 4 patches with ballistol and 3 dry and was clean. Gun is now back together and will hopefully shoot pellets through it later today. Slug testing will resume later once I have my sizer.

Dillon, Eminent domain got us. Man it was tough. Still not over it. then one of the three D's. Wife came down with a genetic incurable disease that attacks all the internal organs. Including heart and brain. That is how I lost my Knife making career.

We went from making god money, what a customer base world wide. Now, we barley get by. And I do mean barely.

Dillon, I have been looking for a .214" sizer for some time now as NOE does not make one. Did you go with a LEE Custom or did someone have them in stock?
