So it makes right around what a Texan does on 900 psi less air.I was right. Said they used a 520 gr slug to achieve the max fpe.
Not enough report or recoil for the power there claiming.
Remove the brass and valve spring on old Texan. Put a 3600 psi tank and you get 900 fps with 350 gr.
My Texan with my regulated tank is around 15 lbs. It still has terrible recoil. They probably were hunting with lighter bullets where it is around the 600 fpe area.I like how they just give a figure of fpe. They know what it does. I found out on FB it was with 520 gr bullet. Why not be honest and say with this bullet it is this. Post says it did 872 fps with 350 gr on 4200 psi. That's 590 fpe. With 4500 psi, which is over fill it got 900 fps. Remove the brass and valve spring on old Texan. Put a 3600 psi tank and you get 900 fps with 350 gr.
For a airgun it is. It's a different type of recoil
Not sure what we are arguing about recoil for. You can't determine the feel of that in a video.I'd like to say something about this Hatsan offering, assuming IT doesnt infringe on any patents and it really is as accurate as these videos depict.I think it is kind of ironic that we have a barrel rifling that caters to super long bullets whereas you were stuck with pellets and super short bullets before (also due to the loading port). This even with the 45 Hercules. Does anyone have the description and stats yet? If it is 12 lbs that kind of makes it a flop considering weight is the other Hatsan issue that keeps its guns from being serious hunting guns.It looked like off-hand shots in these videos but not sure.
I'm not going to argue about it. It's my gun and I know how it shoots. But put it this way. If your not careful it will scope you. When your making well over 700 fpe they get to be a monster. Friend made 908 fpe with same valve but smaller ports. That was with a 425 gr bullet.
Here you go... the moment a .58 Quackenbush scoped it’s victim. It gives you an idea of the kick. Kinda hard to hang on to.
My money is on the Hatsan. I’m sure they’ll deliver before The Hammer
