Wait, so they DID reach the advertised FPE (with 520gr slug)? (you were wrong) or they did NOT reach the advertised FPE? I'm confused

They claim they used a 520 gr slug to reach max fpe.  Didn't say what it was and I'm sure it was on a 4350 psi fill.

Who wants a gun that you have to fill off a compressor? Texan makes same power on 3600 psi

Not enough report or recoil for the power there claiming.

The visible recoil will also be lessened when you consider this gun likely weighs

I like how they just give a figure of fpe. They know what it does. I found out on FB it was with 520 gr bullet. Why not be honest and say with this bullet it is this.

Post says it did 872 fps with 350 gr on 4200 psi. That's 590 fpe. With 4500 psi, which is over fill it got 900 fps.

Terrible? I shoot a 7lb Remington 870 with 1oz slugs moving 1760fps. Half the weight of gun at 4 times the ME, and I really don't view it as "terrible"

I'd like to say something about this Hatsan offering, assuming IT doesnt infringe on any patents and it really is as accurate as these videos depict.
I think it is kind of ironic that we have a barrel rifling that caters to super long bullets whereas you were stuck with pellets and super short bullets before (also due to the loading port).  This even with the 45 Hercules. Does anyone have the description and stats yet?  If it is 12 lbs that kind of makes it a flop considering weight is the other Hatsan issue that keeps its guns from being serious hunting guns.
It looked like off-hand shots in these videos but not sure.

Would love to hear this explained. Only big bore airgun I've ever shot was a stock .457 Texan. I can tell you that the recoil of it wasn't even close to as much as my .410 shotgun.

That's the exact point I was making, you CAN'T determine that from a video.

Both of my DAQ rifles kick like mules and they have a barrel lift in addition to the kick.

My .58 Quackenbush short rifle scoped a fellow shooting a fairly light bullet for .58 and shooting heavier lead makes the kick even worse. It is violent for either DAQ. The .458 Outlaw will easily make 600 fpe. To tell you the truth it gave me a flinch I’ve  had a hard time getting over.

I will say, if this piledriver used a .575 barrel you'd get a lot more FPE due to increased diameter.  Not sure you need more FPE though (I already hear people in the future laughing).
We'd probably have more .575 bullet offerings too!
Also, I am wondering about the twist on this barrel to stabilize a 525 gr yet work with shorter bullets?  Maybe a 20?

My XP air guns ranger .45  36inch barrel is around 800 fpe shooting around 900fps with my casted .425g accurate mold , that's one of the most flat shooting 45 or bigger -big- bore air guns you will ever pull the trigger on … no reg … I start out at 4350 psi 2 shots 425g flat nose ..2 shots 349g casull ,then you put the gun on low power and shoot from 275g down to 140g round ball … there is a mid power setting also that works with 250-350g bullets …. This gun does kick pretty good ! ..no joke on that one   … you can also change out spring ,and run the gun on gas, and shoot up over 1100 fps with the 425g  around 1200 fpe …. funny thing is Dan Mcvey built my gun 9 years ago ,and still nothing new has jumped out at me when comparing it with the ranger .45 for what all it is capable of …
