Would this be enough power to make humane kills on rats?
I'm new to these guns and I don't want to wound the lil critters.

I'll go out on a limb here and say crank that baby up to about 705FPE and you should be gtg for those rats.

Don't forget your shot placement too. Gotta have that.

I bet Hatsan comes to market with their Piledriver in less than 3 years.  Can't say the same for the Hammer.

the gun in the video was producing a fair bit of recoil, but I have no experience with big-bores unless you talk bored Navy guys goofing off after standing watch. Those bambis dropped quick- that's for sure.  So based on that alone, it is nice seeing another manufacturer put out a legit big-bore.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves... They have only "put-out" another video for a prototype with an announcement of the announcement to be announced at the coming Shot Show.

Hopefully they have worked out the bugs and are ready to bring it to market. I'm not a Hatsan fan so it doesn't really matter to me.

Not knowing what recording equipment they are using, or the weight of the gun that's a pretty bold statement to make.

By comparing the shot in above video at 37sec mark to the below video I think the shot could very well be in the 700 fpe range.

The muzzleloader in the below video is likely producing between 1800 and 2300fpe, I could easily see the Hatsan as being at least 1/3 of the recoil.

I shoot my Texan at 735 fpe. It has a shroud the size of 3 coke. The recoil is terrible. Take off the shroud and your arm is sore after 10 shots. Even with the shroud your shoulder is throbbing on the way home

 The camera mounted shots show the muzzle and it barely jumps. He is shooting off some super wobbly sticks or something. That shows some recoil.

Watch other people videos shooting texans with ATN scopes and there is way more recoil.

Well it looks like shooter1721 already had one under his tree and has split a playing card at 50 with a nice little group as well. He was shooting Nielsen 350s

So for the "advertised energy that would put them in the 950 range. I guess we shall see soon

To get there claimed numbers is going to be 500+ gr bullet. Just like every other manufacturer does.

Texan makes 700 fpe with 520 gr but only makes around 620 fpe with 350 gr

Rick videoed the gun over the chrony. It shot the 350 gr NSA at 870 fps on video when filled to 4,200 psi. Rick did say he got 900 fps when he filled to 4,500 psi.

So.....590 FPE on video and Rick said 629 FPE max with the NSA 350 gr.

Right away I see the barrel banded to the removable bottle and with the picatinny rail under it for a bipod and think it is similar to Hatsan's Bully which moves POI with bottle pressures and when resting on a bipod.

So it makes right around what a Texan does on 900 psi less air.

I was right. Said they used a 520 gr slug to achieve the max fpe.

Yeah that scope rail setup is a problem...once I modified that on my bully it definitly shot much better. It's not too hard to solve.
