Besides the house which others worked on there are two sheds and a space between them and an enclosed patio room my brother and I got them mostly cleaned out. Books have been donated, clothes were sorted to either trashed or donated, most of the furniture has been rehomed. The second trailer full was taken to the landfill and a third trailer will be full with the carpet. I have a nephew that is a contractor and he is repairing some old hidden damage to the floors, replacing some sub flooring and the whole place is going to get updated flooring as the place gets updated this week. What's the rule? Oh yeah, pics or it didn't happen.. some picsWow... y'all got some work to do.

I think those non GFCI outlets are against code being that close to the sink as within 3ft they're supposed to be GFCI if I remember right. Check and make sure as your local codes may vary from here.I thought the same thing at first until I remembered what the man does for a living.

The engineer from the utility company came by. I wasn’t expecting him for a couple of weeks. He looked at our power pole situation and announced that he could do the entire job for free and call it routine maintenance. I was floored! But I ain’t complaining! Lick up the honey stranger and ask no questions.
"You might beer correct there Gil! There was one there before I started and that wasn’t GFCI. I added the second outlet to the other side for convenience. I’ll have to change them. 🤦🏻♂️🙏🏼😁"Brett, if they are wired together you can just replace one with a GFCI outlet and feed the other one off of it. Save a few bucks and still be safe.

Our electric and fiber optics cables run from a pole at the barn, across the new owner of the bar's property to our house. Last year the fiber optics line came down. That may have happened because it was sagging and the owner of the bar may have snagged it with his bush hog tractor. It took our internet out so we had to call them to fix it. While they were here they placed a call to the power company and reported the pole as bad.Nearly a year later the power company showed up and replace the pole. They moved all the cables up higher. They had to trim several trees along the road to clear a path for the wires. They were here well over 4 hours. They first told us the power would be off for 10 or 15 minutes... is was off for 2 hours.

I didn't say anything because, being who you are, I thought maybe you used some sort of new fangled outlet with internal protection.

We can roll up on a job and it looks straight forward and then when we get up there into it we uncover a rats nest that needs rebuilt. One thing leads to another sometimes. My job is as a trouble man/serviceman. Our primary job is to assist fire/police and respond to any trouble calls like lights out, part out, flickers. We run two man crews and we are very limited on what we can get into with just two guys (state working rules/contract rules). I think that we have the best job in the city. We run two guys, we are our own boss, we have unlimited freedom in the service area and our job takes us all over the service area. Our typical job takes about 20-30 minutes and then we are off to the next one. Regular business hours are 0700-1700. Anything outside of those hours we are on standby for the “trouble calls” that are our primary work. If there isn’t anything happening we are free to do whatever as long as we are in the service area. During business hours we have assigned work like service install/removals, make perms, service upgrades and any calls that come in. We plan our own route and work in assigned areas. As long as we are getting the work done no one bothers us. As the Journeyman in charge I have to make out timesheets and do data entry for the work completed but that doesn’t usually take more than .5-1 hour each day. If you have a good partner it can be real fun. We roll light and fast.
Just looking out for you and your big family Brett. Better safe than sorry.
