Thanks y’all!  Home from the out patient surgical center.  I am, of course,  wiped.  The painblock was supposed to last for 24 hours.  Yeah no.  We stopped at CVS and got my meds.  I popped two codeine in the car.  Back in the good old days I’d have bracketed that with some speed for protective escort!

Hurts like a mother fo sure!  And this is just the beginning.

Becca stopped at The Chicken Shack and got us a bucket of mixed Cajun spiced and a box of fried gizzards and livers for me.

Todays wind knocked a big pine tree down and across the power lines  We lost power for about 7 or 8 hours.   I was about ready to fire up a generator.   Anyways, power is back on and it sure is nice to have.   Thanks to all the linemen working on a cold and very windy day.

Errands and then I changed my truck's oil and filter. The wind backed down but the forecast looks unstable for another day, before some springlike conditions. If I do any shooting tomorrow, as hoped, it might be indoors.

Drugs.

Yesterday morning my BP was128 over 68.  The pain blocker has worn completely off so this a.m. I’m 142 over 88.

I’m eating Codeine like I was 25 again!

For some reason it doesn’t feel quite as good these days.

 This morning Hoosier Momma made me take mine (I have been neglecting monitoring it since I am on BP meds)
168 / 100. "Wow that's pretty good for you" she said and I was feeling all good about myself until now.

But still beats the 220's I was hovering at for a long time.

 I was surprised mine was that low yesterday, the top number has usually been in the mid 130's.

 I think have been on BP meds for about 12^? years or so.

Pain will always raise your BP.
Bill, you need to keep track of your BP. I didn't with the last BP med I was taking and it wasn't doing anything. I was in the 160s over the 100s. It damaged my kidneys.
