The sun is out and the first spring feeling day is here. Changed the motorcycle battery and took the hog out for a ride downtown.

I began the great reorganization of the studio.  Permanent locations for things is the plan.  Big stuff like the vice, bench grinder, drill press, router table, table saw, and the wood stove will get  bolted down finally.  I organized all my clamps today.  I must have forty or fifty from 2" C' clamps to 6' pipe clamps.  It took more wall space than I expected.  I cleared the tops of two work benches and organized all the air gun related parts and tools into two big multi-drawer tool boxes.  On the shelves underneath I stored metal ammo cans of pellets and PB ammo.  I got a lot done with the art space too.

Art in general or specific crafts?  I have a collage setup in a closet bookshelf I built.  Has that secret room kind of feel since you don't expect it to be a 4x3 space with bookshelves.  Lots of newspaper clippings and glue along with old, fancy stationary cards and envelopes from the store downtown that finally closed down after decades.  Some cigar boxes and waxes and such too.

Bill I can mow with it over 100 as long as I keep the long sleeve shirt wet, wear a hat to keep the sun off my neck and drink every half hour. A small frozen bag of peas between the seat and my lower back helps too. Rotate the bag with another bag in the freezer every hour. When I drive the mower at night I wear a red light headlamp to minimize bugs in eyes/nose/mouth. I can see a mouse at 100yds with that bright light in spot mode but I drive in flood mode for best nearby visibility which is great out to 30yds. With white light forget about it bugs are awful. I could hook up my thermal scope to a helmet where I could mow in the dark but the neighbors would think I was a full on lunatic then.

Robert I hauled 4 loads of limbs from just the front yard with the mower dump cart. A storm hit afterward and now I have more to pick up.

Finally got the money saved up to get my car in the shop for repairs after 5 months of driving 40mph due to a trans problem and a bad drive shaft as a result. Will be so nice to drive that normally again. The free car wash and detail is much needed too as it's been my dirty work truck so to speak until I get a real one.

Dude by me was gunning his hooptie with a huge engine scoop and loping engine wanting to race me. After I dropped my car off at the shop on my way back he was blocking everyone in the middle lane behind him standing at the green light filling his hooptie up with gas. I got a good laugh out of that.

 I went to town and bought a 30 AMP 2 pole breaker to use as the generator backfeed breaker/switch to the house panel. I came back home and moved 6 breakers down two spots to open the two top slots for the new breaker/switch and installed it into the box. I still have to wire it and install the generator inlet box when my Amazon 10 gauge wire order arrives and weather permits. We are supposed to get rain Wednesday and Thursday so, maybe Friday in not then probably Saturday while the power service pole is being replaced.

 The rest of the day (most of it) I have just spent talking to various people on the phone.

More cleaning and organizing in the studio.  Just about everything that was inside is now in its new location.  The bench tops are all cleared and the new recliner I was storing in the shed is now in the house.  I will reside in the recliner for the next six weeks or so until I can sleep laying down again.  The bench grinder, drill press, and the vice are sitting in place waiting to be bolted down.  I hope to finish it all tomorrow.

I’m going shopping later today to lay in a supply of rum.  The spirit locker is in pretty good shape otherwise.  I’d be inviting mutiny if I let the rum run out.

Well, my day has not gone as I expected it to. My wife asked me if I wanted to go to Costco with her, I said "no, not really". She responded, "I don't really want to go either", I picked up the hint she laid down, so I immediately shut my computer off, got ready, and set out with her for Costco. We were early though so, we went out for breakfast before we went and spent $725 at Costco for provisions. We had a list, and there were a couple of items on the list that we walked by three or four times before we spotted them. I think we only picked up 3 items that were not on our list so, I have to say, we did fairly well.
 We both got our daily "step" goals and then some by noon.

Ack it's just a flesh wound

Yeah, it shouldn't take the full 6 weeks for recovery. Rehab will be key.  The first surgery to reattach the RC didn't take and there wasn't enough of it left for a second try. So the next step was for total reverse replacement of both ball and cup but there was still no RC to attach so now I don't have the pain but I have limited range of motion. Every now and then the ball pops out of the cup and I have to pull it back in.
I didn't do the pain management (pills) once the bag was empty and let the pain tell me when I was doing too much. I did not like the way the pills made me feel.

  I went to the Lab and had blood drawn before I went to my Cardiologist appt. because traffic was light and I had time to do so. Seizing the opportunity, I managed to get both tasks done earlier than if I had waited to do the Lab.

 There was a longer than usual wait at the Cardiologist and I came straight home afterwards, so I am still hungry.

Last night brought an unexpected snowfall that reached within five miles of us to the east, blanketing the higher elevations on the Mountains. The cold downdraft from the mountains has given the air a crisp, cool edge. It's quite a sight to see snow at lower levels on the higher mountains while the adjacent hills remain bare to higher elevations, creating a stark contrast in the landscape.

My blood pressure was 123/83
