I haven't had a chance to do anything that wasn't air gun related yet today but it will be cocktail hour soon.  The sun is over the yardarm somewhere in the British Empire.

 Another non airgun weekend report, spent Saturday hunting, my cousin shot at a buck and missed , mid morning, I did the same with a turkey late afternoon. I found his bolt burried 8" in a tree and about as high off the ground 50 yards from where he shot. I found mine after dark 55 yards from where I shot, buried in a muffy rut 3 ft in front of the POA. I'm thinking we both missed by 18"

Not much air gunning this weekend. I did get one squirrel Saturday morning. It's been mostly getting the garden up and running for the winter and get my friend's boat back together so he can safely use it. Today and tomorrow it will be work on the boat before the rains come. Later this week I have to pick up a vertical shaft motor for the string mower, that died over the weekend.

BR they ought to make them noisy with the lights too. Sure would help locate hogs in the thick when you don't have a dog to find them.

Full day. This evening before sunset, we picked olives from a 100 year old tree. Wanted to get it done before the rains. Then slit each olive and the little lady is curing them. I cannot shoot the really high olives off the branches with an AG, no backstop.

Stuck in the ranger station again and it is deader than Elvis around here today.  I tend to have fits of positive civic activity at such times.  Sometimes my computer malfunctions and a whole bunch of people get in the park for free!

I discussed the day's plans with my wife. Her plan was to go grocery shopping first. After working for 42 years in a grocery store I don't do grocery shopping if I can avoid it. So, she went grocery shopping and I stayed home with the cat and dog. 

 We just tallied up the Pomegranate juice she made this year and it was 32 quarts which is in in the freezer to use as we want. She also made some Pomegranate syrup and some Pomegranate Molasses. GOOD STUFF!
 WE gave away a lot of Pomegranates and lost about 1/3 to varmints and bugs.

We bought it at Walmart a few years back. It's handy because we keep a dish of ice in the small freezer section for drinks on the rocks.

We were browsing at one of the local discount stores and Betty Lou bought 2 sets of 2 fake wood coaster for the bar for $8 a set.
I kinda rolled my eyes but let her have her way.... kinda like she does me.
I was picking some wood from the wood pile for the stove and spotted a nice log of live oak. I carried it to the 12" chop saw and sliced off 4 3/8" discs. I gave them a good coating of poly urethane and they are drying now.
Mine are free and real wood.

Locked my keys in the truck again. I got it figured out now.  Unscrewed the antenna.  Shoved it under the door handle and slid it around until I got it to the right spot.  It took a minute but it popped the latch slicker than bear poop.   

Yeah I don't leave nuthin valuable in this truck.
