Took my newly finished river punt for its first outing on the Waikawa river. Complete success. It rows better than I expected. Realy pleasant to row . My 2 hp outboard pushes it along above hull speed. It is trying to climb onto the plane but just not enough power to get over the bow wave. Bigger motor and it will fly. Easy to get on and off my flat garden trailer .Not sure if I should say it is my own design or a heavily modified plan from a picture in a book . No matter I am well pleased with it .
Gloves are always an after thought for me. Coulda, shoulda... didn't.

As much as I hate gloves I am just going to have to deal with them from now on. I don't need a boo boo that will cause a great deal of pain and medical expense or loss of body parts. I just ordered some Tegaderm from CVS so that will keep me from changing bandages all day long. It's a film that will keep the crud and moisture out of the wound, also with it being transparent you can see what is going on with the wound. It's water proof and you can wear it up to 7 days. Fireline and back country medics carry it now. https://www.3m.com/3M/en_US/p/d/b00035590/

I told him in that situation thick leather gloves will give him the best poke protection.
Quote from: Rabbit\Squirrel Killer on September 08, 2024, 09:01:58 AMGood morning! Our plan is to have Sunday School and Church, get our house/pet sitter instructed, then leave on our trip to Idaho and Montana. I am not sure how much I'll be posting for the next 10-11 days? Just assume I am busy having a great time with family and camping if I am not checking in. I am likely to be in some areas where I won't have internet service, and I will be driving a lot too!Be safe and enjoy the time with your people!
