While in Montgomery this morning we stopped at a second hand place, I'm a sucker for those places, I spotted a portable table saw that looked in great shape and it was complete (guide, guard, ect). Lady said she wanted $89. I offered $50 and she countered at $55. I offered $50 again and she accepted. She didn't have a place to plug it in so I took a chance. The blade spun and the motor felt good. Got it home and plugged it in... works great.

Don't remind me of DEP plumbing, repairs in one state park is bad enough and forestry was no better at some of their sites. Spent a couple of hours pounding some T posts into the ground . I placed them so I can stretch a chain between them and block off 2 roads that go into my property. 1 we don't use at all because it goes right past the septic tank and we don't want to take the chance of someone driving over it. The second one is the road we cut to get to the meadow where the burn pits and shooting range are. Don't want people just cruising around our property with out our knowing them. We don't end up with very many strangers on our roads just the local residents but it doesn't hurt to.......

There is a long stretch of very old, decrepit barbed wire fencing that I’d like to add posts to in between the old ones that are uprooted or leaned way over. I wouldn’t redo the wiring in that difficult terrain. Just want to maintain the existing boundary line before the old stuff totally falls apart. Nobody around here wants to do any such work unless they can use a motorized vehicle and/or excavation equipment. This part of the land cannot be done except the old-fashioned way, manual labor and accessed by foot. So I’ll have to do it myself, though perhaps there is ONE fit, strong man who’d be willing to do some for pay.I saw someone else using an iron pipelike thing to pound posts down. He was shaking his wrists out later from the pain. Hoping there is a better way.
