I suppose I should have specified the type of garage door springs I was referring to. I was speaking of the torsion spring type that has to be twisted for preload.
I had a buddy back in Ohio that owned a garage door installation company. He had some horror stories to tell.I've been out most of the morning hanging pegs on the peg boards and sorting/organizing hand tools. I remember my grandfather's tool bench in his garage. He took a marker and outlined all the tools on his peg boards. He knew exactly what was missing when it wasn't put back in it's place. Not a mistake you ever wanted to make twice. I mean the man had his rolls of tape outlined.

He's probably got some heavy duty springs. JK. In my case I think I'd rather tackle replacing a garage door spring. At least it's intuitively obvious how to take it apart, unlike some springers.I've heard of some serious injuries with folks trying to preload those springs.

Garage door man replaced springs..
When we took over Killer's place there were 2 mowers in the barn. When the motor blew up on my Zturn I dragged the Husqvarna lawn tractor out and got it running. It just needed a battery and a few other minor things. When Nick bought the barn acre he sent the other, an eXmark Lazer Z ct to a friend of his that works on them. He told me that when it was done he would have it dropped off here for me if I would keep the barn acre mowed. The Husqvarna is on it's last leg.Bubba (Nick's dad) dropped the eXmark off today. It's a 48" cut commercial grade mower with a 23.0hp Kawasaki motor and dual fuel tanks.... and it's a beast. The grass at the barn was 12" tall and that thing didn't even flinch. It chopped that stuff up and blew it 10' out the side.Tomorrow I need to have a look and see if I can adjust the LH side hydrostat linkage. It runs slower than the RH side. It just makes things a bit awkward. I know my Snapper had adjustment knobs. I dl'd the manual and it does show how to adjust the linkage.

My time lately has been clearing as much as possible the Brush and bushes around my 10 acres, been good exercise but tiring !I did make a decision on a new FX Airgun.

I plan to go through the manual with it tomorrow morning. I think I'll pull it into the Red Shed where I can service it in the a/c. I'm not sure what all Nick's buddy did to get it running. I was told he only charged nick $100 so I'm sure he didn't do a whole lot. I do know he cleaned the carb and replaced 2 fuses. That motor really runs smooth.

After I changed it power was restored.

It does show the linkage adjustments as well as an equaling adjustment knob to make both RH and LH the same. This is just if the mower is drifting to one side or the other. I will get it in the shop today and have a good look at it.https://www.exmark.com/files/downloaddocument/45The parts diagram only shows one filter in the hydraulic system (part 16 below)
