 Well there was a change of plans we took a Honda but, it was my wife's CRV not a motorcycle.
 We also went to Oak Glen instead of Julian.
 We bought over $100 worth of flavored honey and canned goods from the tourist shops. We had a pastrami sandwich and some real good fries too.

 Tomorrow is my wife's birthday so I just want her to enjoy it, starting today. Maybe it's Julian tomorrow?

Cut a large bush down to the minimum.  Cleared the mess. 

Edged the lawn with the power edger.  Boys mowed.

Trimmed/shaped many bushes around the yard. 

Still need to pick up tools and finish washing the roof of the gazebo.

Oh I got a 3" screw out of the tire today. Surprised the tire didn't go off the bead while driving as pressure got down to 10psi but the tires have stiff sidewalls.

We had an 8x10 nook off of the screened in porch converted to a bar area when we lost the other bar building. We had been using it for a storage area and had it blocked off. This morning I woke up with an urge to sort through the contents an eliminate what we don't use. I figured if we hadn't missed what was in there in the past 2 years, we don't need it. 90% of it went on the trailer for the next dump run. The rest found new homes. Betty Lou's chest freezer and a shelving stand got moved into that space. We put down some level loop carpet and we'll pick up some paint when in town next week that will match how we painted the rest of the bar area.
We have a couple ruff sawn cedar gun wall racks that I had made several years back from some repurposed live edge planks. Those will get hung in there for some guns and hats. We also have some more tin signs to hang along with a vintage Miller Genuine Draft bar light. Basically we added 8x10 to our 12x20 bar. It's pretty amazing how much bigger it made the bar look.
Betty Lou and the dogs are out there hanging out now.
Since we took over this place we have converted the screened in porch, the utility room, the Red Shed and the 8x10 shed all into usable space. Before us, all that space was just crammed full of junk that Killer had hoarded through the years. It was all home to all manner of creepy crawlies. All those have been evicted. We finally have full use of 100% of it and it all has our spin on it.

I stayed up late last night with Sailor Jerry so I'se feelin a might rough this a.m.  Better living through chemistry is my answer to everything.  I chewed up a handful of bootleg Canadian Geritol and chased it with a double Alka seltzer.  I'se feelin righteous by the time I got to work!.  I piloted four boat tours and called it a day.  When I got home I skirmished with the Iron Maiden some.  I have fixed her position but she ain't budging lest I bring up the big guns.  A battle of annihilation would distress the memsahib and might shift the balance of power so I have decided that a tactical with drawl would be the most diplomatic move at this juncture.  I have plenty of ammo, Iron rations, and rum in the mancave dog house and I intend to hole up there unless they smoke me out.

My buddy and I kind of combined non airgun and airgun activities today, we chronographed a couple of air rifles and grilled hamburgers on my little Weber charcoal grill using Royal real wood charcoal. Velocities were good, the hamburgers were delicious👍🍔

Well we made the Julian motorcycle ride today. It started off a bit rough with the bike not running totally right. It was running a lot better after about 40 miles, but still not perfect buy the time we got home. We did enjoy the ride and the day though.
 I have been too busy and neglected to ride for too long and now the carb is a bit gunked up. It runs fine under a load but the pilot jet seems clogged. It just likes full throttle,  which isn't all that bad of a problem LOL but, hard to ride smoothly.

I have a spare carb for it so I might just switch them and clean it out so it's good to go next time.
I plan on riding it more first to see if the fuel system cleaner I put in it will finish cleaning it.

So proud of my daughter in law.  She organized a surprise father's day diner at the sushi restaurant.  My son didn't know Big Papi, Oma and Tatti were coming.  Very nice family outing and got to see my grandson again.
Earlier in the day we celebrated a co-worker retirement after 26 years with the City at the local BBQ joint.

After my shower I grabbed my Bubba mug of coffee and NORD X vape and headed for the Red Shed. I had been thinking about what would be the best way to use the workbench space left vacant when I moved Casting Corner to Casting Cabin.
Through my own gathering and inheriting from my BIL I have amassed a fair amount of Dremel related tools and accessories. So I began locating it all and setting up that bench for it.
But if I every run across a CHEAP used mini lathe It will most likely replace the Dremel stuff.

Sam have a family they said it will make you happy they said. With toxic people like that no good deed will go unpunished and she will never be grateful for you helping her so I'd say consider not letting her stay there if all she's going to do is disturb your peace. It's your home and you deserve peace there. I have a family member like that and no one in the family likes having anything to do with them because they're always hostile starting senseless feuds despite all the help they've gotten from us. The toxic person still hates us regardless so it's way better for us not having them around us to whine gripe p!ss and moan which is still happening but it's while alone in their own home since no one wants to be around them. People like that are determined to be miserable. I determine they will get no company with their misery.

I try not to talk too much to Killer about what we've done with the place. When I do I am very vague. I'm pretty sure that if I was in his place the last thing I would want to do is look at pictures of what was my home for many years. I told him that I cleaned out the Red Shed, closed in the screened in porch and remodeled the bathroom. He didn't seem to have much to say about it so I just let the topic drop.
I can see his expression change when we take Boss to visit. He's happy to see her but I can sense the sadness. If you knew Killer you would know that sadness is not a normal emotion for him. He rarely lets any kind of weakness show.

 I "slept in" until 4:30 today. We had Sunday School and Church and now I am about to grill a couple of steaks.

 Right now I feel like taking a nap but that feeling usually passes before it comes about. We'll see after lunch if a nap happens or if I feel like skipping it.

I've met several Amish in my area lately. Really nice people. One built his own cabinet making shop and gave me and my wife a tour. He built it from the ground up with a concrete floor. Each machine has a clutch and runs off pulleys and belts attached to a shaft that runs in a trench the length of the place. All powered by a Briggs and Straton 400hp.
The quality of what they make is amazing. There is also a farm right down the road and they sell all kinds of vegetables really cheap. I'm kind of fascinated by their lifestyle.

 I know I messed up, I try to run the carb out if it is going to set and use fuel stabilizer too. This time I kept thinking I would ride it soon but it was too rainy and I was too busy and had forgotten to run it dry too. 
  Ethanol Gas doesn't store well and in CA we can't buy Ethanol free gas.

Sonja and I floated/paddled the James River; Wingina to our property.  7 miles of sheer unadulterated relaxation.  it's nice; it takes 15 minutes to get to the boat ramp, 5 minutes to inflate the Bote (inflatable 2-man kayak), then off we go. 

The Bateau Festival is ongoing; bateaus are cargo craft that plied the James River decades ago and there's a significant following of people poling their bateau.  The water is pretty darn low, but those folks don't care.  Most of them use the festival as an excuse to get to schnockered.  Anyway, they'll be passing our section of the river on Tuesday.

Went to church and watched a co-worker and his wife be baptized.  What a wonderful event. 

Home now.  Prepping for family to show up.  I’m sort of “excused” from any of the duties since it’s Father’s Day.  I’ll enjoy the down time. 

This IS airgun related.  I’ll go check the pressure in the FX 400 to see if my clean up relube of the regulator stopped the leak.  I filled it and we shot it down to 165b before I put it away a couple days ago.  Time to go see where the pressure needle lays…

Bill it's a very sad thing a once capable man losing his independence and being forced to be taken care of in a facility. Without God and heaven to look forward to in the near future there simply is no hope where all the good days are indeed gone forever. My uncle went through that and it was mighty hard to watch him go downhill but at least he's in a fantastic place now never to suffer again.
