Took the non burnable trash to the dump. Got back and was going to pound some T posts on either side of the roads going to our meadow BUT, a neighbor called and asked if I could look at his water pressure pump. It's not turning off and he couldn't get it fixed. It's not a place he lives at and has to drive up from Phoenix which is around 125 miles. Found out he never put a check valve on the input of the pump between the tank and the pump input. He also tried to adj the pressure switch to get it to turn off so as soon as he gets the valve installed I'll have to show him how to adjust the switch right. Some pumps have a check valve built-in but his doesn't.

Drained the old coolant from my car and added a new batch. Made room in the garage closet by getting rid of the car's removed debris shields that store heat under the hood. Put them in the table vice and sliced them into pieces with the sawzall small enough to fit into the garbage. Drive belt came off the mower while cutting grass thanks to a small limb so I got the tractor and lifted it to easily reinstall the belt. So much better and less effort than trying that on the ground with limited arm room, ants ect. Did a lot of weed eating and I'm wiped.

Thanks guys, I grew Amilia and Florda Dade 80 last year, both were indeterminate(vining) varieties. They did okay until the bugs moved in. This year I am growing Tasmanian Chocolate tomatoes which are a determinate(bush) variety. Also I have them in a different location, they still get sun but not fry in the middle of the day. Red okra has worked best for me in the last 3 years, bigger pods before getting tough and can handle the brutal summer around here. As for hot peppers, I grew a mixed seed packet of them and put the dehydrator into over time with them. I don't have to buy pepper flakes anymore. I have beets and chard growing now if I can keep the cut worms out of them. I use Thuricide BT for caterpillars, it wipes them out in 24 hrs and is organic, does not harm anything else. Replanted the eggplant and peppers after the rat dug up the first batch in the seed trays. I have squash down, yellow crook neck and patty pans. I will have fruit through out the summer, the blueberries and blackberries first, then the grapes and pears, then the citrus, chest nuts, and persimmons. I enjoy doing it and it saves a lot on the grocery bill.

There was a Tornado touch down 9 miles away from us. There was golf ball sized hail here, but no damage that we could see at my son's house. We had all the vehicles put away inside his garage and shop buildings so they wouldn't get hit by the expected hail.

Went through 4 gallons of propane burning weeds. My back is toast!!!🤕 At least I wasn't carrying the 20 lb tank. I had it on a hand truck but I got to tell you that wond gets mighty heavy. Got to go in to the VA and have some biopsies done on the 5 spots I have. They're not wasting any time getting all of this done. I wonder, should I be happy or nervous??🤔

Planted more veggies, cleaned out the van and truck, check and reload chicken feeders. If the weather holds out tomorrow I will probably mow the grass. I have the .25 cal ammo and will spend the weekend trying out slugs in the Origin and Marauder. Work on the Hercules .45, it needs a breach o-ring. I have tree stands that need painting and seats replaced. One needs a gun rail put on it. Kind of taking a break from the yard for a minute.

Those storms you guys out west had made their way through here over night. The boomers and wind woke all of us up. Apparently the power blinked out because the clocks and cameras needed reset. I don't see any big damage on the cameras but I won't know for sure until I get out there and look. I do see alot of water laying around.

Yep, nothing like waking up to a tornado warning on the phone first thing. Made the rounds, it will be the usual clean up of stuff blown everywhere and tree branches. Got an inch of rain out of it so watering is on hold for a day or two.

I asked my 82 year young Mom what she wanted for Mother's day. She said a bicycle. 
Nothing extra, just an old single speed with coaster brakes to put around the edition. "Ugly is OK.. just want exercise"
I made a U-y and went to the used bike shop in town..
He goes through them mechanically and has about 70 old bikes out on a lanyard.
Told Mom there were only 3 "Ladies 26" bikes and all were shot/ugly"  but I will keep looking

Made a low ball offer for this SWEET old Schwinn and brought it home.
Rides so excellent! Now tomorrow I will clean it up with a little steel wool on the chrome and clean up the white walls and it will be a Mothers day gift Sunday!

Well, I vegged most of the day due to the weather. Around here the power goes out quick so there is no since in cooking or try to do laundry. The weather finally broke around 2:00 p.m. so I finished cleaning up the storm mess and worked in the garden till dark. I will spend the rest of the evening in the shop polishing some stones to mount.

I got 2/3's of a root canal done today. The dentist couldn't find the third canal after a long time poking and drilling around so now I need to gt a CT scan to find it. It took over 2 months before I could get an appointment and I've been in pain and trouble eating ever since. And it hurts much worse now than it did before.  %^%^*$^#$$#

So I came home and tried to mow the lawn. I thought there was about a half of a tank of gas in it, but it sputtered along for about 50' and then ran dry. I filled it up with gas and it still won't start so it's sitting outside, and the grass is getting long. My wife had the dog in back and said it smelled like gas even 20' away from it, but I didn't see a leak or spill any when I filled it. Lousy day.
