Less than $20... Cheap enough to keep me from jacking around with a rebuild.

I heard that! I bought one too for mine awhile back. Haven't replaced it yet as I do plan to tear it down and clean it up then replace gaskets but as cheap as carbs are it's good to have a backup just in case.

Pulled up more sumac trees and roots today. Wish I would've don'e so before I let some of them get big enough to be a PITA to dig out.

The APM told me to supervise the distribution of 40 new picnic tables around the day use area of the park today.  The maintenance mechanic and I worked out a system where we unloaded the tables from a semi trailer with a tactor and then skidded them to where we wanted them towed behind a UTV.  The tables are built of heavy gauge galvanized pipe and 2X8 boards and they slide like a sled on the pipe frame.  We all had a ball slinging them around on the end of a 15' tow strap!  Everyone wanted to "ride the table" but we would have lost our jobs if the boss saw us.

Due to our novel method of distributing the tables we were done in an hour.  The boss expected it to take the rest of the day so he was pretty pleased.  To reward us he had us reorganize the lumber storage racks.

Virtue is its own reward.

And the Iron Maiden arrived safely today.  She was sleeping when I got home so I managed to sneak in without her seeing me.  I intend to use this respite before she wakes up to further fortify the man shed and stockpile more food and drink out there.  I'm expecting a long siege.  Loud punk rock has the same effect on her that garlic does on vampires so I've got the Ramones and the Sex Pistols on a loop.  I've got a clear field of fire all the way to the house and with the dogs out here I don't think she will be able to get the drop on me.

Was expecting rain today but 🎇🎇🎇🎉 it never happened. At least where I live but it did rain all around just not at the house. If it doesn't rain until the monsoons hit this summer I'll be a happy camper.lol Of course it's suppose to rain this coming Sunday and Monday.🤬🤬

My senior Transportation Engineer turned in his two weeks to go to the private sector so I am now down 4 positions.  Work demands will go back up.  Hopeful I can keep my AG hobby active.  Sat in the penalty box through a 3 hour Council meeting tonight :-(

Woke up to the phone ringing at around 10pm last night. One of Nick's buddies got stuck in the mud down at the barn when he came to feed the dogs. (they have 4 of those mini bullies now and plan to breed them).  I got up and went down to pull him out with the Titan. I got him out and he got stuck again. This time I pulled him all the way out onto the road. I wonder what makes folks thing they can drive a front wheel drive Hyundai on a fresh layer of red dirt in a swamp after 3 or 4 days of rain in the spring? BRILLIANT !!
BTW... not much on those cars to hook a log chain to.   
I let him hook it up to his car so any damage is on him.

Spring has arrived...maybe.
+ 18 F this morning with a 17 mph West wind.
The wind chill is around 0 to +3 F
I got another 1/4 inch of snow last night.
I will be able to take care of that with the leaf blower.
Wednesday of last week I could see my lawn and the lakes were clear of ice, then the big snow storm hit.
It stared snowing Friday and it snowed all thru last night.
Now I have around 20 inches of snow on the ground.
The temps are supposed to rebound to around 40 F by Sunday.
If we get some sunny days and it stays above 32 F, the snow pack will start to melt off.

 I went to put on the new belt and blades, for the lady down the road. She had told me the deck was new 2 years ago so, I didn't check it over good last time I was there. It needs new spindles and deck reinforcement, it's not in good shape and I really doubt she got a "new" deck 2 years ago.
 Someone ripped her off IMHO. I am not going to tell her that, it would do no good at this point. The guy that worked on it no longer works on any mowers/lawn tractors.
 She left to go get her hair colored when I got there so I texted her the information and she ordered the new parts. I am sure I can fix it up to work for another year or two.

  This is turning out to be more time/work than I planned for. I think she would be better off with some goats on her land if that deck is 2 years old.

Up with the pup this AM.  Ran her around some.  Made coffee and breakfast.  We headed out to Wilco, Boot Barn, Taco Time, Walmart, Costco.  Picked up the Camry from the shop 💸💸💸 Home now and had a cup of coffee and some dark chocolate.  Surfing and getting ready to do something but I don’t know what yet.  😆
