Last widow maker I had I shot down with a 12ga shotgun.

I'm going to see if I can push it with the tractor and make it break from the tree and fall away from the fence. If not I'm going to have to do the same as you with buckshot to free it from the tree. I have slugs too if needed. Challenge accepted.

I could see where it was kinda balanced by a smaller branch. That's where I shot. The smaller branch broke and down it came... one shot, one kill. Betty Lou just looked at me with a whole new level of respect.

This one is around 12" radius but half broken through and significantly rotted so hopefully it won't require too much ammo if the tractor can't push it away.

I've also cast a fishing line over them and pulled a heavier rope over them and pulled them down with the atv.
It's a little tricky but you get to do the happy dance when it's done.

After they ate, Betty Lou and I went for a walk about with the dogs. Boss led the way and took us around the entire perimeter of the property including the newly fenced area. You could see that she found herself in a strange new world and sniffed the ground the whole way. Rambo's lazy butt took up the rear often short cutting the corners. He's always in the back but manages to get back to the door first because he cheats and takes short cuts.

I cleaned out the Church's storage shed. I emptied everything out swept it out and then vacuumed from the rafters down getting rid of all dust, web's, and spiders. I sprayed it good with Home Defense insect barrier Then I put everything back neatly, fully organized. I got done right at dark! I came in and took a shower and put my PJ's on.

Now I am surfing here.

Work today and exercised, twice.  Started out with snow in some areas and by the afternoon the sun was out with some heat and it felt like spring.  Walked the pup with Mrs. P when I got home.  Thinking about taking her to the park tomorrow.  Right now just enjoying the peace while surfing.  It’s quiet in the house.  Mrs. P is dozing on the couch next to me (poor girl been up through the night with Millie (pup)).  Micah is upstairs doing his own thing.  Heather, Christopher, Nate and Sean are all at the dining table.  Heather is doing homework, boys are all drawing.  I’m here getting sleepy.  0430 is early for me.  I’ll get up and go to work and use the gym in the AM.

Better the tractor than your head! It's too high for the tractor to reach. Bill's rope idea would be good but I can't drive my tractor on my neighbor's property to pull the tree down and he can't with his atv either as the big creek blocks him too. Shotgun time!

Did a lot of work outside in the heat. Mercy if it's already this hot at the start of Spring then this Summer's going to be a mean beyoch! Killed 8 wasps so there will be no stings from them and their young this year.

Mowed the front yard and the east field again this morning, the rain didn't start until 5:00 PM. It did feel a bit chilly this today with the temps in the low 50°'s F with winds!

Raking and picking up branches.   It's amazing to be doing this again in early March instead of shoveling snow.   It was in the low 50s, with a very light rain and I was working in a Tshirt and sweating like a pig.

Relocated the sink and fridge in the Red Shed to get access to the opening for the A/C unit. Closed in that opening to accommodate the smaller unit and installed the unit. Finished out the inside and outside of the opening.

Then we drank beer.

Finished burning the branches in the pit and piled up a little way from the pit. My fit bit says I walked 15,870 steps today walking back and forth to put the branches from the pile into the pit after what was in it burned down. The pit was piled about 3 feet above the edge.
Hoping it will rain/snow really hard later to put out the embers.🤞

Dan I'm green with envy as it was in the 80s here with bugs everywhere. Crane flies are bad here right now trying to fly into my eyes and mouth.

Wore my butt out doing an all day job what should've just been an hour tops. I'll be very sore tomorrow but I got it fixed where that will never happen again.
