I did lots airgun related but as I was finishing up talking with my neighbor across the fence, I noticed that I had missed a call and a text.  It was work.  Guess where I went early and am now….

I got a phone call about 01000 this a.m. from the memsahib.  She wanted me to take her to the hospital.  She fell last week and got a good bruise on her side.  it developed into a lump which I diagnosed as a hematoma.  We argued about her seeing the doctor and she finally threw in the towel after I left for work.  So we spent the day at the emergency room too!  It's a hematoma.  She's on bed rest for few days.  We're supposed to follow up with her regular GP and a specialist.  Wish us luck!

That is my big fear.  She says she will take it easy while I'm at work.  She will be with my mom tomorrow. 

Anyway she's home and says she feels good so I'm counting my blessings.

Definitely not what I had planned..
Yesterday at work a 4 1/2" angle grinder with a cutting wheel jumped and bit me.
 Spent all afternoon in the clinic.
Doc was not happy.. couldn't stop the bleeding because I hit the artery and went to white bone.
 Today, where the tourniquet was hurts worse than the stitches!
Thank God it wasn't my "trigger finger"!

Thanks for asking…  first date with someone I met online.  Interesting and cute person, but not a lot of overlap in interests and physical activity level… I’m not ready to slow down at this point.

I wouldn’t know what to do if I had a date.  😂

Tell you what… the last time I dated and was single was in ‘93.  so I don’t really know what I’m doing either, but that’s not gonna stop me that’s for danged sure.

This was actually date number three (first date with this particular person though).  The only thing I don’t understand is why not put photos that are accurate on a profile? I get it that you want to put your best foot forward, but what’s the point of portraying yourself as fit and athletic when you aren’t?

I mean, it’s one thing to exaggerate the specs on an air gun because you can probably get away with it… I guess it’s the same idea lol

When I went in for the ear injury I had to get a tetanus shot too, the last one I had was 2001. I have never gotten pain or soreness from a tetanus shot. I think a lot of that has to do with how well the shot was done. I had a Vitamin B shot once that caused a lot of pain in my arm and more than a dozen B shots that didn't cause any soreness.

I hope you heal quickly.

I see everybody finished out the week without losing body parts or dropping dead. I am paying for my actions as well by eating the wrong stuff and triggering flares. My knees are the victims of it this morning. I love strong sweet tea from one restaurant I stop at occasionally and that is what triggered the flares and stiffness. It will take a day or two to get over this one. Nobody's fault but mine, just can't do that stuff anymore. So I am right up there with the rest of the wounded GTA'ers for the weekend.

And thank you all for your sympathy!  I'm afraid I'm going to have to sit on my lovely bride.  She thinks "taking it easy"  means rearranging the kitchen appliances and moving the refrigerator.

She obviously feels better but that has it's downside.

Scott, hope you are feeling better.  That kind of wound will mess you up for days at our age.  Don't be like my wife.  Take it easy!

Thank you Scott. Your finger looks really good, just give it time to heal. I don't know how many times I have smashed, dislocated, chopped on, and broken my hands and fingers and still have them working. This past week I have been working with sheet tin, I made sure the gloves were on, wore safety glasses, and stop working on stuff when I got tired.I don't get in a hurry anymore when working around the house, If it is not finished, there is another day to work on it.  I hate emergency rooms.
