Well, since the "What's your plan" thread is still broken I guess I don't have a plan for today.... airgun related or otherwise.

Ran the upper Sopchoppy between forest road 349 and Steven Revell road.  About five miles of fast moving water!  Mom, Geoff, a guy named Ron from the ACKC and I in three boats.  The water was high and moving fast.  Geoff and I are really getting our chops down.  We twisted that boat through the cypress gardens in a four knot current like old pros.  I had a premonition that I was going to swim today but managed to get through the whole trip with dry feet.  Geoff took a swim right at the take out but in his defense the take out was really hairy.

Climbed the mast on my modest yacht and fixed a rattley electic cable conduit. Used a bosuns chair on a three part tackle. Was tough work hauling myself up and was a bit sore after it.  Very sunny warm day. Enough to need long sleeved shirt and jeans to keep the sun off. Also helps with rope burns. There I was sitting way up the mast in a good breeze. That was cooling and very pleasant and the view was superb. My thoughts__ silly old fart doing this at your age and that morphed to __ what will you do when you can't do things like this .
And a canoe trip on the Sopchoppy river would be marvellous

So far I've shoveled some nice light fluffy snow but it's still coming down so I may have to finish the job with the snowblower like an old man.  Also made a death defying survivalist trek to the dump on hilly, slippery roads with my semi-bald-tired minivan.   That's my idea of adventurous adrenaline rushes these days.   Don't worry about my safety, at no time did I exceed the speed rating of the tires.

Digging around I found an old android cell phone in a junk box and I thought it might make a good bluetooth display for the chronograph. I found a usb that fit it and plugged it in to charge it. Yeah, I remember this phone. It a Samsung Straight Talk phone that quit working. It won't power on completely but it keeps trying and it won't stop trying. Every minute or so it buzzes twice and makes the old cartoon sound of a bullseye being hit. It's a solid case and I can't open it to remove the battery.
OK, this annoying thing needs to go out to the trash can. If it was warm out I would shoot it and put it out of my misery.

I went to the doctor, ate breakfast, came home, went to the bank, went to the landfill and got rid of a load of scrap lumber, came home again, loaded more scrap lumber in the truck, took my wife out for Pizza.

When we were loading the lumber we found a sibling of the rattlesnake (at least it look like the same size) we found last week.

It got up to 72°F today and it was 70°F when we came across the rattlesnake. Warmer than last week but it was still slower than my shovel.

I dripped the faucets last night.. Kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower. Got up this morning and they were still dripping and now 15* outside and headed for mid 40's.
That's where the good news stops..
I dripped the cold water and never even thought about the hot.     Yeah, the hot water is froze at all three locations. 
Oh well, not much I can do about it now. Just let Ma Nature handle it and hope nothing broke.

Good luck Bill.  We didn’t get quite so cold down here but we still got a good freeze.  There will be broken pipes at work for sure but we seem to be good here.  I took the pups out first thing for some exercise.  I carried a tennis ball and not an air rifle.  Belle is nine months going on ten and she is a ball of Fire.  I have to run her hard first thing in the a.m. or the memsahib gets no peace after I leave for work.

I had to wait 3 days for it to warm up enough to get under the house and replace 4 ft of cpvc line for the hot water side of the bathroom sink. It was to cold for the pvc glue to set. Don't want a repeat of that this year. I turn the hot water heater off and turn on the hot side of the faucets as well, it doesn't take long for my tank to heat back up.

Just got back from the monthly trip to the city. No hot water yet but I don't expect it to be too much longer. The temps are coming up. I bet I drip hot and cold tonight.

Made the commute to work and now I’m doing the work thang.  Chilly and drizzly out.  Makes it less desirable to be outside.

Good to hear Bill! We are getting a heat wave up here in the Mother State!
It's up to 20 degrees today! It's been in the single digits with minus zeros wind chill for nearly a week.
But it's a dry cold.

I parked my GMC next to the wood pile we are getting rid of and my wife found another rattlesnake today while loading it into my pickup truck. That is three rattlesnakes in less than a week under that wood pile. I thought something would eat them if I left them out in the open, not so far, so I took a pic of the three together.

I certainly don't miss that Jeff. It was 15* when I got up this morning and 45* and sunny out now. I was in the Red Shed putting new 4' LED bulbs in and had to peel off a layer.
Supposed to rinse and repeat tonight. I'll drip both hot and cold water faucets.
The 150 gallon propane tank is at 30%. I called and scheduled delivery for tomorrow.

Aw, those are cute little babies.
Those rafters are 3' on center and that is a full size truck tailgate. We grow 'em big here in lower Bama.
