Just got back from taking the ATK 406 for around a 12 mile dirt bike ride. I really need to change out the 48 tooth rear sprocket for a 43 and the front sprocket from a 15 to a 16. Most of the riding I'll be doing will be on fire roads so having a low first gear is a waste.

I got ambushed by some friends today.  My old room mate and former best friend from LA is in town for the holidays.  Friends arranged for us to "meet" much to my surprise.  We didn't part on particularly good terms 30 years ago but it turned out to be a pretty good reunion.  We parted on good terms this time.  Something to be said for the holiday season.  It ain't entirely commercialized yet.

I tried to fix a leaky 2006 Bunn Coffee Maker. BUT it had many problems including brittle broken plastic in places that didn't show, so I decided to buy a new one instead. I shopped and ordered online and then went to pick it up near my favorite burger/malt restaurant. So I stopped for lunch first. I returned some old Spectrum equipment I had forgotten about on the way.


17 Years is good enough for the 2006 $129.99 Bunn Coffee maker. (there was a price sticker on the bottom of it) Our first Bunn Coffee Maker lasted 20 years though so we'll see how long this one last.

Work.  Left early because of the Christmas party.  Came home.  Prepped ribs for the smoker.  Went shopping with Mrs P.  Came home and wrapped ribs and back on the smoker.  Went to Dr appt.  Got blood drawn.  Came home unwrapped ribs and back on the smoker.  Made coffee. Milled about.  Ribs are off now and resting.  Mac n cheese is now done.  Heading in to eat dinner. 

Later we will decorate sugar cookies.  I’ll try and resist eating any but I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to avoid that.  Wish I had a stronger will…

Actually told them years ago to trade it off, now it is down again LOL, same thing with the Orchard sprayer that no longer had parts support, no wait till it breaks mid season, then scramble to get another one, when supplies were low LOLSMH Rant over

We went to the Charleston SC aquarium.  We got there at 1430 and they were closing early for some special event.   We only had 1.5 hours but thats about as long as i can be on my feet at a time.  Animal prisons are interesting but I always feel sorry for the inmates.  I couldn’t avoid thinking about which fish would be tasty.   We went to a nearby seafood restaurant after the aquarium visit.

Now days?

Just finished signing up for Netflix. We're dumping direct the beginning of February.  So now we'll have prime, utube tv, and Netflix. We've had prime for a long time but recently was added to my daughter's utube TV so that's free. We got the direct down to $100 a month but they don't have the pact 10 for the wife so they're gone.  Yeah, yeah, I know,  the wife loves football and I can care less.

We got 8/10ths of an inch of rain overnight, then it wasn't raining most of the morning but just before noon we got a thunderstorm with a flash food downpour, and just had a short power outage, but thankfully came back on.


We are just staying inside today mostly. I think I still need to get dog food today though.


I just checked my rain gauge and we just got another 7/10ths of an inch with that thunderstorm in the last hour.
