Next task will be blazing a 150 yd. trail through the wilderness to the barn area. I'll be putting on the knee highs and packing a gun for that job. The are no less than 5 species of snakes in there and 3 of them want to kill me.

Trail Blazing..The Yamaha Kodiak 450 4x4 ATV with it's aftermarket 12" wide and 26" tall rear wheels and it's 9" wide and 26" tall front wheels is a formidable tractor. This morning I opened the gate and charged through on it.In low 4wd I just plowed down 1 1/2" saplings, climbed over a few 4" fallen branches, zig zagged my way through the woods up over the 4' high old railroad bed, down through the north end of the swamp pond (at full capacity the water will be maybe only 1' deep at that end) and popped out at the cleared 1/2 acre of the barn acre at one end of the 3 rows of Muscadine grape vines. I came back to the house on the dirt road because I didn't want to run over those knocked down saplings and chance jamming them up under the wheeler.I have my trail laid out. Next I will go back in with my hatchet and loppers ( I call my loppers Cindy, you know, Cindy Lauper? ) and open the trail. It ain't going to be near the work I thought it would be. Once it's open and clear I'll post a short video.Disclaimer: No snakes or otherwise critters were harmed on this initial run... that's not to say it won't happen.

They probably headed for the hills? or what ever passes for one around there.
Trail through the woods... done and done. There are even a few spots where I can sling mud on her when I'm leading.

have to find a full size rim for spare, I don't like these donuts.
Yesterday, I wound up with no jobs at work. So, I got the chainsaws ready for a little work and started pulling out some downed wood along our tree line. I cut up what needed cutting to fill the tractor bucket and dumped several loads in the fire pit. I’m planning on some more of that today.

Is what I did with my car and my mother's car too after she had a tire shred on her car which did not have a spare tire to begin with from the factory and now does. Used the chainsaw to cut a couple of raggedy fence posts down so the place looks better now. I filled up 4 of my two gallon jugs with poison and killed a scat ton of ants in the backyard and I still have all those to kill in the front yard too! How many millions of ants do you have to kill for more queens to not fly in birthing more millions back so soon mercy....
