Tried skateboarding when I was a kid and didn't care for it so I stuck with doing tricks on the bicycle. Probably put a million miles on my bikes much as I rode them to other towns. I have no interest in ever trying those tricks again.

No skateboarding tonight but I did enjoy some red snapper fresh off the boat.  Swede’s son went out this morning.  The plan for this evening is to watch surf video on YouTube.  I voted for hair boat videos but got voted down.

I ain’t real tech savvy.  I don’t carry a cell phone so I don’t usually have a camera handy like folks that do. 

I polished up my presentation and got the training lady to sign off that I was a dutiful little company drone.  Tomorrow I will give my program and be critiqued.  Then they will let us go home!

Found Motivation in the shop.  Did a bit more clean up/organizing, just enough for Sean to make a mess with the lathe.  Hanging out in the shop currently, sipping coffee, listening to an podcast and overseeing the wood turning project.

Brett, I use one of these when working on the lathe. I work with some resin stabilized wood and really do not want that dust in me. This one does not fog up when wearing it.

I've got 5 grandkids that got a deer this year, three in Idaho, one in Montana, and one in Missouri. The last one in Missouri yesterday was with my Winchester 30-30 I left with my son, at least it is getting some good use.

Just had a 50 something Hispanic guy and his wife, daughter, granddaughter take down a dieing 40 foot tree on the north side of my property in less than an hour along with loading it into the back of a flatbed truck. That was just flat amazing 👍👍👍👍. 😲

Forgot to add, it was leaning over the north hog fence. Nothing came down on the fence! 😁

Sonja and I headed out to the property.  The insulation has been sprayed in and everything is really coming together.  Still have electrical, plumbing, drywall/finishing, but what is there is looking good.  We also walked the 2nd tract (the other property we picked up)- found a hidden deer stand which didn't make me happy, but it looks like it hasn't been used in a while.  Our next trip up there will be a work trip and I'll pull it down.  We identified a few more trees to remove, spent some time just sitting at the bank of the river, and just enjoyed a day of peace and quiet.

Well, he had it down, chopped up and loaded up in an hour. I've got to clean up all of the smaller branches but considering how difficult that tree would've been for me to take down and not destroy the I'm thinking maybe a day if I'm lucky.

Betty Lou loves the cooking grill over the fire pit. But she asked "what if I just want to cook over an open flame without using the campfire pit?" "Also, what about when they have the open fire burn ban like they did this past week?"

I let my repurposing prowess answer that question.
Ingredients:
An old cast iron charcoal grill that I had cut down and used when RVing for a contained campfire.
Another smaller rebar and expanded metal grate I found in the barn.
The legs from a blown down and destroyed pop up awning.
Results:
Small portable campfire cook station that makes zero contact with the ground.
Completely designed, assembled and ready to cook on by 9:00 am.
