So if you didn't do anything airgun related what did you do today?

  I have not gotten any emails about new posts or replies to any since 3:30 AM on the 6th. I have looked at my alerts settings and my profile and they look OK to me, what am I missing?

Site's messed up. My email links don't work when I click on them the links don't load so the emails would do you no good right now anyway. Two days of this aggravating mess.

I've been walking the picket line since Wednesday! I was a tiny part of the largest healhcare workers strike in US history... or so they tell us. Monday I get to go back to work and see just how badly things got caca'd up

Helped my son complete his moving.   He had an apartment in Boston, a storage unit near Boston and a studio apartment in Manhattan.   Boston was for thursday night to sunday with his wife.   Manhattan was monday -thursday for work.  After several van load trips and a lot of driving, son and wife are together 7 days a week in a wonderful apartment in Brooklyn and all the storage unit stuff was moved to a much cheaper NH storage unit a few miles from my house.  I'm gettin' to be too old to be helping people move but it was great to spend all that road trip and hauling time together.

I took a canoe trip today with my mom and my buddy Geoff.  We paddled the upper Sopchoppy river at a very low stage.  This meant that the first couple of miles was challenging since the water was so low.  It was a good work out for Geoff and myself.  Lots of technical maneuvering through Cyprus gardens and blowdowns.  Mom is 84 but you would never know it when she's in her little solo canoe.  She scouted ahead of Geoff and me and found the best lines through the obstructions and skinny water.  Geoff is amphibious by nature and a good paddler.  We paddled an old glass Mohawk 16 footer and it was the perfect boat for the conditions.  The river runs through a narrow channel it has carved down into the soft limestone karst.  The vertical banks seem higher because of the trees that tower on either side.  It's cool, green, and shady.  Water seeps constantly down the limestone walls and intermittent sunlight dapples the water.  We took about three hours to drift six miles.  We saw river otter and wild turkey and scared what was either a bear or a hog in a cane brake.  It went crashing off through the thicket and I only caught a glimpse of something black. It was an awesome day on the river.  Everybody had a good time and I got to spend some quality time with my mom.

I would like to do a canoe trip on the Sopchoppy river. And I would like to meet BlowpipeSams mother. She must be an exceptional person
None of this will come to be but nice to hope.

And if you're talking about pics of the dogs going through the screen.... we don't follow them around with cameras. They sniff each other's butt and junk, not something you want pictures of. The only time we take pics is when they are posing.

None of this will come to be but nice to hope.

Well I would like to visit New Zealand and there is the possibility of that happening.  The spouse and I would like to travel after I retire and NZ is at the top of our list.

Still no email notifications to me even though everything in my profile looks the same as it did before. I checked my spam folder and nothing there either.    Weird

Changed the oil and brake pads on the HRV.  Drove memsahib into downtown Atlanta and got to hold my grandson for the first time.  Stopped at the Irish pub for dinner and now home on GTA.

I worked on dog training today.  Belle got three sessions of basic commands in the course of the day.  I helped the memsahib in the garden some and then we went into Coon Bottom for the month's supplies.  While we were gone my 80 year old step father Butch fell in the river and had to be rescued.  He got a little banged up so mom drove him into town to the hospital.  The whole ordeal exhausted my mom so I drove up to the hospital (about an hour and a half drive)  and picked them up when he was released.  Just got home a few minutes ago.  Butch is gonna have two shiners and a swollen nose and he's gonna feel like used food tomorrow but we're all home safe.

finishing retaining wall/steps while sick/fatigued slowed me some and whupped on me some but got it done... cut & lay sod  move a yard or two of soil to go...then on to next project...

Clearly it was a skunk ape.

Got up early this a.m.  and drove an hour and a half to Tallahassee.  We picked up the jeep we left at the hospital last night and the memsahib and I split up.  She went to the pharmacy for my parents and I headed for the bank.  Then a long detour through the national forest over (mostly) dry jeep trails.  I had Belle with me and we stopped a couple of places so she could run and I could scout some good spots for blinds.

Home by noon and I've been exercising/training Belle.  Then I shot a bunch of air rifles but that's for another thread.
