I knew the stew is always better if you let it simmer a while....
Down in the barn was an 8' tall wooden shelf attached to a wall. It was 2' wide and 2' deep with four compartments. Betty Lou and I went down and salvaged it. She painted it the same color as the outside of the lean to. Then we hung it sideways on the Red Shed wall inside the lean to where the "Rattlesnake" sign was originally. We put hooks on the ledger that supports it to hang hoses and cords.

You and BL have done a great job on the lean to for sure, the oops paint was perfect for the finish. Well, in my travels today, finished the platelet challenge and will be receiving a nice reward gift card from One Blood. Picked up the chicken food but did not attempt to shop in wally world, it was a zoo in there, I will wait a week or so to get what I need. Picked up the meds, no mail to get, moved all the garbage cans off the road before some moron runs them over, installed the new fish cleaning table light. It's solar powered and does have an on/off switch so it can charge during the day. Bought it at HF. Finally got tired of cleaning fish with a flashlight. I will eventually run a water line out to it and no more dragging water hose out there.

Ernie, I built the fish cleaning shack in 2007. I had every intentions of it being full electric and running water, well my career kind of got in the way of that project. Now that I am retired I can finish it. It is about 5'x7' and is screened in to keep the mosquitoes and other annoying bugs out. This year it has doubled as a green house and that has been great for starting tender stuff and keeping bugs away.

Cats make me sneeze and then have a stuffed up nose if I am around them, hold them or pet them. I guess that's why they make antihistamines...
  This cat is very interested in hanging out while I work on things and walks/heals with me like a good dog does when I walk around the property, it may grow out of it, but it is what grabbed me and convinced me that I am his/hers, that's right I have not even checked it's gender.
It is just a kitten. Here is a pic next to my foot for some perspective.

Cats are great just as dogs are. Dogs appear to be better friends, but it's just because they just express it in more, for humans, understandable way.

While I mostly post about my Dawg, we also have cats.  (They seem to find us)
 Yes, they DO have personalities.. not the same as a Canine but individual affection none the less.
T.J looks alot like our "Buddy"!
 He showed up under our deck as a little kitten with punctures on both sides of his throat. Something had him in a "death grip" but he escaped.. he is now 5 and a BIG Tom... but still has the kitten "meew".

When we travel to the Riviera Maya those cats don't respond to "Here Gato, Gato, Gato" like the American cats do to "Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty"

My friend Geoff and I took a C2 canoe and paddled a tidal creek not far from our place.  Locals call it "Little Tide  creek"  A map of this creek would look like a diagram of someone's intestines.  It packs about two miles of water into about 10 acres of land.  It's narrow and the tide was falling pretty briskly by the time we got underway.  And of course the first leg of the trip was up stream.  The narrow twisting channel and the strong current certainly tested our canoeing skills.  By the time we reached the road bridge about half way through the trip we had caught our snap.  Geoff had the Draw and the Pry down pat and I was getting comfortable with steering a two holer again (I've been paddling solo boats for the last few years).  The 16' fiberglass Mohawk is an antique but it's also a beamy, stable, gun platform.

We were two old pharts  getting our chops back before tackling something more challenging.  Planning a late November/early December float down the Slave Canal on the Wacissa river.  The slave canal runs five miles though the Aucilla WMA and every time I have paddled it I've come across a sounder of feral hogs.  Plan is to drift quietly down stream and hope to surprise them.

So I guess that stuff is really kind of Air gun related after all.

I have said that I have been bored with airguns lately....  It's costing me money.... I have two new firearms in my collection with at least one more in the near future and planning another one after that.  💸💸💸💸

I worked OT until 7am this morning, went home, coffee and an outdoor fire, bought a couple guns, took a nap and now im back at work.  Last shift of the week!

I beat the drum for the Friends of the Sopchoppy River at an event held at a bicycle trail head.  Our little community of Sopchoppy FL has just achieved "Trail Town" status.  We have hiking trails, bicycle trails, and paddling trails.  I brought our new puppy Belle along and she was quite the social butterfly.

I went to my prescribed Physical Therapy session this morning.  After a light lunch I went up to the hospital to have a blood test for my Magnesium level.  After three Mg infusions last Thursday,  my Mg level is still LOW.  So, I'm scheduled for another infusion tomorrow morning.

But I'm ready to rebuild the brakes on my pick-up tomorrow, I got the memsahib's and my medication for the month, and I laid in a supply of rum and tobacco.

Drinking the aforementioned rum and smoking the aforementioned tobacco at the present time.

 I did a deep clean in our bedroom today and looked in every drawer and everywhere I could think of in there for the 2 pocket knives I haven't been able to find since earlier this year. I am starting to wonder if they walked off with someone.   


 I probably just hid them so good I can't find them...

"I probably just hid them so good I can't find them"    This is becoming a real issue for me.   I have a habit of hiding guns and money.   Usually it all turns up eventually but I'm missing one gun.    I hope someone didn't swipe it.   At least it's a pretty unusual antique and there would be pretty much no chance of using it in a bad way.  Guess I'll have to do a better search.
