Last week I made a purchase through Amazon.
They said, “Qualify for Amazon VISA and get $50.00 off”.
I did.
I bought the item (a brand new air tank built in 2020) and immediately sent it back.
Amazon put all of the money in my gift card account.
The VISA card came today.
I wrote a check and cancelled the card.
I still keep the $50.00.

Oh boy.. I bet you're gonna get a boatload of junk email.

It was great and it was 55 minutes from home, it took about a half hour longer to get back home because we left at the wrong time of day to take that route, Traffic was heavy and slow moving. My son-in-law paid for everything so that was nice too. He got a deal on the room $80 which included our wristbands for the pools.

Thought of you today while I was watching Road Kill because the guys got their old Duster running with it's slant 6 after it sat for 30yrs and drove it through your town. Pretty place! I'm sure they'll be playing reruns this week if you want to catch one.

Interesting I wonder when that episode was filmed. I wouldn't mind seeing it I will try to find it. Thanks for letting me know.

Stopped at Harbor Freight and got new tires/wheels for Betty Lou's yard wagon. $6.99 each.

Bill, that reminds me, I have a garden wagon in need of tires and rims. I have a platelet appt. next week and will stop at HF to get them. I have gotten where I don't make special trips to town anymore, one the cost of fuel, two the idiot traffic in Panama City. Manage to get the pond and garden edges mowed this morning. It is a little cooler here this morning and no heat advisory to deal with. Air up the tire on the rider and get the rest of the yard mowed today before the afternoon storms start up.

Supposedly there's a hurricane headed for commiefornia this coming week. We've got rain just stacked up in the forecast AND it's going to cool it down a bunch. Hopefully it doesn't wash away the house while it cools it down. 😲 San Diego is right in it's path from what I've been told.
Of course it's tropical storm Hilary 🤣

Stopped at Harbor Freight and got new tires/wheels for Betty Lou's yard wagon. $6.99 each.

I wish they had a more quality option for tires for wagons and such. It really irritates me that those have such a short life. How do the make rubber that "decomposes" so quickly? I found a bag of red rubberbands that are probably 50 years old and still as good as new so I don't think my desire for a wagon tube and tire that last 10 years or more is out of line, LOL.

Sounds like the tents may have a tough time staying on the sidewalks in LA. 


Right now it looks like are are suppose to get 2 1/4" of rain over three days and winds up to 39mph here where I am.

I wish they had a more quality option for tires for wagons and such. It really irritates me that those have such a short life. How do the make rubber that "decomposes" so quickly? I found a bag of red rubberbands that are probably 50 years old and still as good as new so I don't think my desire for a wagon tube and tire that last 10 years or more is out of line, LOL.

Those rubber bands were probably made with real rubber not a synthetic that the good chemicals have been outlawed to use.

Yeah, I'm sure they are molded synthetic. Probably injection poly of some sorts. The ones that came on the wagon (Lowes) disintegrated within 4 or 5 years so these will most likely last just as long.

Got the one acre that the bar sits on mowed. Aside from the space that the building occupies it's wide open grass and grows like a hay field. Then it just plain got too hot. I could have made tea with my water bottle. I'll get out early tomorrow and cut the acre the barn sits on and the 1/4 acre or so of grass around the house.

It was a new episode this week so recently filmed within the past year I'd suspect. Those are the guys who slapped a 440 in a tiny Samauri jeep I posted awhile back. They're a trip!

If they're the 2 ply they're going to crack fast which happened to mine so I paid more and bought 4 ply online with tubes. Should last way longer. I also upgraded the bearings which should last better than the cheap bearings that come with those wheels. Found em online too.

Right on! I found better tires with tubes and bearings on ebay. So far no problemo.
