Wife doesn't like driving past them and having them rub her car so I went out and did some pruning. 33 degrees, cloudy, no precipitation so good weather for pruning. While I was outside, I scooped up a lot of semi-frozen dog pooperinos from the lawn. Simba gets very excited when he sniffs out one of his turds decomposing under the snow. Then he digs it up and tries to eat it before we catch him and yell at him. We've had classier dogs.I always think of these things when I see a dipstick letting their dog lick them on the face, mouth and inside their mouths too. Eat sh** is supposed to be an insult not an invitation.

Yup, deer and rabbit poops are a treat. Wonder if they taste gamey.
I deliver hot meals once a week thru our local senior center to the folks who are too old or crippled up to get downtown. Less than an hour, dollar or 2 of gas, gives me something to do.
Got another one of dogs going to go over the rainbow bridge today. He had a seizer about 6 weeks ago and then another 3 days ago and then yesterday. Once every 6 weeks or so and we'd let it go but 2 a day apart we've decided it's time. We're afraid he's going to start seizing and not stop until he dies and don't want him to go that way. He's a couple of weeks shy of 16 so he's lived a pretty long life.Might have to put our big guy down soon also. He's having problems getting up and weights around 100 lbs. It's said that things come in 3's

When we took our last Great Dane to the Vet and found out she had cancer, we said goodbye and came home without her, it was tough because she seemed fine except for a bump on her front leg. But the bump was exploded bone and we could not keep her alive selfishly, knowing she was in pain.

I have my dogs train to not lick me. Hank is tall enough that even though I am 6' tall he could lick my chin while still standing on all four feet by just tipping his head back and stretching his neck and shooting out his long tongue (he use to do it occasionally). I have not been successful in training him to stop nudging with his nose or chin though. It seems the best time to nudge me is immediately after eating or drinking while his face is a bit messy, especially if I just put on a clean shirt. He is a loving big dork.
